Same. I'm into Gundam and whilst the fandoms for newer series like 00, SEED and Wing were welcoming to female fans, you can forget hanging out with the UC fans. You either get ignored or have your opinions belittled because you don't have a penis. Or they refuse to believe that you really are a girl at all. I love UC but I don't want to hang out where I'm not wanted or have to pretend that I'm something that I'm not. So I keep my fangirling over Char to either my own journal or places where I feel very comfortable.

111. I agree! ... But I may be biased because, hey, I'm a Christian (lol). But I'm really proud of Supernatural for going there and actually doing it well instead of a.) ignoring the whole God/Devil thin like every "supernatural" tv series EVER or b.) fucking it up. It's intelligent and fun and really adds a lot to the show. I think if they have him find and believe in a faith it will only make him stronger an open up some really good plot avenues. Plus, yeah - aww, Dean.

I'm a Christian. I'm a SPN fan. I'm a Dean fan. I'm not a fan of Dean becoming a religious person. I realize he's been through a lot and I also realize that he deserves something good in his life, but considering how he grew up - what he grew up thinking, Dean suddenly clasping onto Bibles and talking about his 'mission from God' rubs me the wrong way. That isn't my Dean. My Dean doesn't believe in God, or at least DOUBTS him, or at the VERY least doesn't exactly LIKE him. I know characters can grow and change, but I'm sorry, Dean being religious and finding God will always seem OOC to me. Always. If it happens I will be severely disappointed, especially since he's now meet these apparent angels and these angels have not only shown themselves to be sort of heartless (for the most part; and come on, as much as I love Castiel the guy isn't exactly expressive) and cruel, but they've made it pretty obvious they don't like Sam, and if things continue going the way they are, they might try to KILL Sam. There is no way I can imagine Dean accepting that or coming to terms with that, or believing or trusting or loving a God who would allow something to happen to his brother. No way.

129 - This series is more than just the cover. James Jean's departure won't change the already amazing stories that are being told in Fables. If you are there just because of the cover why are you even reading the book?

103. It's not a competition, but just like every other entertainment, people are gonna have favorites. It may cause hurt feelings sometimes but that's just the way it works. As long as people have favorite authors and books, favorite bands and songs, favorite actors and movies and TV shows, people are gonna have favorite fanfic authors/fics/fanartists/arts, too, especially for specific fandoms. It doesn't mean we don't love the other stuff, it just means we're extra-special excited when those people update, because we know we will always uber-love their stuff.

111. The Christianity was coming from the start. If you go back and look at Season 1 you can see it building. (Come on, now. Mary, mother of the AntiChrist? Tell me that was accidental.) I just wish they'd been less ham-handed about slotting it in there lately, or at least played up the "ohaithar, monotheism is calling!" angle better. :\

I kind of hope Dean stays an atheist (not even an agnostic or a "God exists but he's kind of an asshole" believer, but an actual atheist), because the plot twists to make that possible would be epic. Why can't he find something good elsewhere? (I agree that he deserves it.)
