They're releasing the dub DVDs starting November 11. ^_^ A Bandai rep at New York Anime Fest showed me the cool special edition dub DVD set that comes with Simon's drill key. I've been putting off buying the subbed DVDs because I want it.

121. I was so psyched to talk to some guy about Battlestar Galactica. But we couldn’t get into a good discussion because I ended up in an argument over whether or not the show was all about “male-bashing”. We agreed to disagree, but still, not fun.

128. Draco in the actual books was never that smart. Or smooth. There’s no indication that he’s very good with women, either. Harry and Ron are presented as getting more action.

If we had to make imperfect, barely-workable parallels, I would say Draco is closest to Little J because of the crazy determination, spazziness, and the tendency for the world to collapse upon them, and Blaise Zabini is Chuck.

103 - This is why I don't like people declaring an author "the best" in the fandom, or reccing fanfics as "after reading this you won't need to read any other story about X anymore". I mean... sure, people are free to like and rec whatever they like in any way they like, but... still it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. :/

Dean's a cynic at heart, and I doubt he could ever fully embrace a God that just stands by while his mother got torched on the ceiling, or letting all that evil run rampant, leaving people like him and his brother to clean up the mess. And then angels show up, and they act like dicks and want to "purify" entire towns for their convenience.

Plus, God doesn't seem so fond of Sammy, and that's a big no no ;)

Yeah. I think the poster probably has a good experience of religion and wants that for Dean too, which is sweet (not that I agree). However, the angels on the show certainly seem to represent a pretty scary, single-minded version of faith, and I'd never want Dean to get on board with that.

Plus, the angels were mean to Sam. I'll never forgive them.
