Most fans seem to be happy with what the show went with in terms of JJ and Reid. I am not. I think the should have gone with JJ once having feelings for Reid but those feelings not being romantic anymore and Will being the only one she loves that way. I don't like that they had her say she still loves Reid romantically, even if she also says she loves will too and chooses Will.

Uh, I think there is a pretty equal range of anthropomorphism in what furries write and have as a kink. And the secret is specifically about an entirely-not anthropomorphic dragon.

It's kind of the same with Final Fantasy parts older than 7 (though at least some of the characters from older games still feature in games like Dissidia).

But yeah, I just played 2 again recently and it's kinda sad that the older games are apparently too dated to still be relevant in the company's opinion. Especially since they actually get less and less progressive with every game (yeah I'm still bitter about the lack of same sex romance options in everything after Persona 2).

When I was younger I always cringed at "making love" because it often feels like a phrase that's used by parents (explaining to their kids) so they don't have to say "having sex" and I also find things like "I'm going to fuck you" hotter but god I fucking hate that 50 Shades quote for some reason.

Bonus secret: It annoys me that people get their panties in a bunch over their secret being made, in the actual fandom secrets community.

Feelings fade, though. She and Reid have remained friends and colleagues, but there has been no nourishing of any romantic feelings. Meanwhile she's had a strong, developed relationship with Will. It is more realistic to me that her feelings for Reid would have faded over time.

Yes, I am saying that the secret is about monster sex, not furry. Although (again) I think it's furry-adjacent either way.

I suspect it'll be mostly the same as what happened with Discovery, IE, mostly people just saying that Orville is better because it copies the surface aesthetics of TNG, while I silently sit there hating my sworn enemy Seth MacFarlane

It does seem like this was going to be a tough thing for the show to resolve to everyone's satisfaction, yeah. I do think, though, this was probably the best way to placate both sides. Not perfect, no, but probably one of the less messy ways. The Reid/JJ side got some kind of canon confirmation for there being something deeper there, and those who didn't like the pairing, well, they're not getting together, so that's that.

I do like Reid/JJ, myself, but even with the confession last year I figured the chances of the show actually putting them together as a couple were pretty slim at best. I figured if they were going to resolve this whole thing, it'd be something like what we got in canon. And I'm honestly fine with that-there's something about them being a "what could've been" that I find rather interesting and touching, and I'm just happy that they didn't have it be a total fakeout on JJ's end.

Plus, I do like JJ and Will's relationship, too. I wasn't expecting the show to mess that relationship up or end it the way some people feared they would. I do get people not being happy with the idea of her being in love with two men at once, but I think since she does seem to be treating her love for Reid as more of a "another time, another place" kind of thing, for me, at least, that makes it easier to reconcile.

I dunno. There be my thoughts, at least.

I'm extremely disconnected from the ST fandom, but I love Discovery and find The Orville boring, and I consider TNG my favorite Trek and have been watching it since it premiered when I was seven.
