Most fans seem to be happy with what the show went with in terms of JJ and Reid. I am not. I think the should have gone with JJ once having feelings for Reid but those feelings not being romantic anymore and Will being the only one she loves that way. I don't like that they had her say she still loves Reid romantically, even if she also says she loves will too and chooses Will.

Why? People can love more than one person at a time romantically. I think that is more realistic.

It does seem like this was going to be a tough thing for the show to resolve to everyone's satisfaction, yeah. I do think, though, this was probably the best way to placate both sides. Not perfect, no, but probably one of the less messy ways. The Reid/JJ side got some kind of canon confirmation for there being something deeper there, and those who didn't like the pairing, well, they're not getting together, so that's that.

I do like Reid/JJ, myself, but even with the confession last year I figured the chances of the show actually putting them together as a couple were pretty slim at best. I figured if they were going to resolve this whole thing, it'd be something like what we got in canon. And I'm honestly fine with that-there's something about them being a "what could've been" that I find rather interesting and touching, and I'm just happy that they didn't have it be a total fakeout on JJ's end.

Plus, I do like JJ and Will's relationship, too. I wasn't expecting the show to mess that relationship up or end it the way some people feared they would. I do get people not being happy with the idea of her being in love with two men at once, but I think since she does seem to be treating her love for Reid as more of a "another time, another place" kind of thing, for me, at least, that makes it easier to reconcile.

I dunno. There be my thoughts, at least.

I thought most fans didn't like what they did with those two? I never liked the idea of them actually getting together, personally. I thought Reid's crush was cute, but J.J. just didn't like him that way. Up until I stopped watching they'd already moved on, and they accepted it wasn't going to work out between the two of them.

Bonus secret: It annoys me that people get their panties in a bunch over their secret being made, in the actual fandom secrets community.

This is the anon who wrote the secret about not finding irredeemable assholes sexy - I now wish I'd waited a little longer to write that, because Ransom Drysdale is the perfect example. Chris Evans is hot; Ransom Drysdale is a selfish, spoiled, murderous trust fund baby. He's a turd in a fancy jumper.

I think that it's an asshole move to intentionally omit tags just so that you can "surprise" your readers, especially when you are well aware that half your potential readers will hate this "surprise".

From time to time I still read the old posts and journals of my fandom friends, and even look up some websites on the wayback machine.

Some of them sound just way creepier now, as an adult, than they did to a 13 to 16 year old.

I wish people would stop casting actors and actresses who have had plastic surgery and botox as characters who wouldn't have had those things. It's obvious to me and I can't stop looking at it when it doesn't belong.

I love bandes dessinées. I love slash. I could ship every protag with his best friend or his rival...
...but I draw the line at Astérix and Obélix
because to me Obélix reads as mentally retarded and the imbalance in their relationship squicks me.
(I feel like a traitor to my fandom friends who don't read that far into things and just enjoy the ship as they should.)

I'm really sad Netflix took away the Latin American Spanish dub option for Saint Seiya. It's one of my favorite childhood shows and I love the Spanish dub, so I was really bummed to see that it wasn't an option for the show anymore.

I know a lot of people found that scene where the Doctor kneels before the Master to stop him from killing people really uncomfortable, but as a Doctor/Master shipper, I found it really hot.

my favorite dumb tumblr conspiracy is the idea that the amazing spiderman movies were dropped because andrew garfield 'wanted bi-peter' instead of it being because the movies just... sucked. because they really were just kind of bad, and not in the fun way.

I've stopped visiting the Discword tag on Tumblr since the first blurbs about the ongoing Watch series dropped and fanwank erupted. I understand and share fans's concernes on this one but so much concentrated negativity is dragging me down, I wish I could forget that mess altogether and pretend it doesn't exist.

I'm usually a firm believer of "If you haven't watched a movie/read a movie etc., you can't really complain about it". But everything I heard about TROS has me convinced it's terrible and I refuse to watch it just to be proven right. Movie tickets are too expensive for that.
