126. Damn, I'm jealous! During my two years of Japanese study, I used the Learn Japanese: New College text, which was pretty devoid of pictures and contained very little, if no, shipping fodder. Clearly I must purchase Genki for self-study since I plan on reviewing everything. I've heard good things about the series and well, this just confirms it!

I'm starting to think a community should be made for this. It'd be fun to discuss subtext and whatnot! Though erm, I'd only lurk since I don't have them. ;;

The fact that this will not be the last secret of DT's departure is already making my eyes roll. If you can't stand change, why are you watching a show that has a history of 45 years with different Doctors, companions, and even different TARDIS interiors? Why are you watching a show that, in the past three seasons, have had a different companion every year?

If you're in it just for David, goodbye and take your fanwank with you.

On your way out, here's a little history lesson. Tom Baker was one of the most popular Doctors of his time. He was followed by Peter Davison, who actually inspired David Tennant. Lesson? Who knows what 10 or even 11 might inspire for some little kid on a couch on Saturday night. And I'm pretty sure that David wouldn't want it any other way.

Oh, but this! THIS ONE I HAVE TO AGREE WITH. I think this movie always actually confused me, because when Waul first heard Tanya singing, I thought the same thing, and imagined that there might be something between them, even if it didn't work out in the end. But then... nothing, and Pure Evil Waul. I'm still disappointed that they didn't play more with the idea that he might care about Tanya, at least.

Of course, I will be completely embarrassed if I'm misremembering the movie. Blargh.
