I hate saying, “I know what you mean.” because I always feel like that’s so contrived, but I think I can really relate to you OP. 108. I can't imagine why. I thought Kaylee was the sweetest thing in the 'verse, and I'm so glad they cast Jewel Staite for the role. I haven't seen her in anything else, though.

134. How can you say it's the worst if you've never even watched it? o.O I didn't know there was a rule that stated Supernatural always had to have something supernatural in it. I think it shows good writing and maturity that they're willing to veer from that for (gasp) an entire episode now and again. And it ended up being pretty damn creepy, and in that regard is one of the best SPN episodes I've seen. The ghosts and goblins can get kinda corny, but that was downright scary because it could happen. >>

101 - Alright fine univers, I fold. I will now read this. I've only been looking at the art for the last month anyway. I don't even hate mpreg on principle.

117 - that would be a pretty sweet twist, if Cas fell. He's already admited to having doubts, and for a critter with no real free will (maybe?) that's a big step.

147 - Oh I ship it like burning, but I cry like a bitch because of what happened next. DAMN YOU DC! Why couldn't you let him actualy get married?!? AHHH! Sob. It would have been such a cool step, and they could have had fun conflicts about him leaving his socks on her super-high-tech computer and her friends coming over all the time and all that good-old-married drama that no one seems to believe exists. Sigh

115-- I used to watch the ancient reruns that either the discovery channel or one of its many offshoots used to show of the original Top Gear (it lasted like two weeks before they got "new episodes" that were like season 2 or 3). I've seen bits and pieces of Top Gear for about three years now, but I've only just become really involved with the fandom when BBCA started showing it constantly. And I know what you mean about jumping on the bandwagon. I can't say I feel like an outsider, though. My experience has been mainly positive.

148-- Really? Wow. . . that's. . . odd. I'm not trying to condemn your pairing; I just never thought of shipping them. My DSM OTP is Jeremy/Lisa. Although, I must say. . . The look Nick gave Brian in tonight's episode when Tripp mentioned "family". . . it could be slashy.

I really don't understand the elitism behind cosplay. Seriously, we're nerds in costume. Some really love the craftsmanship behind it and really get into it as a hobby, which is fine. Others, unfortunately, take it WAY too seriously.

Another commenter said they were more creeped out than angered by those who are way too serious about this hobby. I'd have to agree.

Cosplay is suppose to be fun. It's suppose to be a great escaping hobby, not clouded by elitism. Honestly, it's just suppose to be about the love of your character. A slight pet peeve of mine is when someone points out a costume that is not made with the greatest skill and claim they "ruined their fandom."

I'm sorry your experience was so negative. There are a lot of sane, non-judgmental cosplayers out there who would love to cosplay with you. Heck, I could use some more cosplay friends myself. =)

103. There's nothing pathetic about that. Please feel free to manipulate me into squeeing over your art as long as you draw some for the pairings that pretty much don't exist in fandom, like Banba/Harao from Eyeshield 21 or pretty much any slash/yaoi couple from Japanese drama that is not from Nobuta wo Produce or Gokusen season 2. Seriously, I don't think that anyone minds you "manipulating" them like that.

106. Don't be embarrassed. About 10 years ago there was this popular song where the vocalist sung of how horny she was and a friend of mine happily danced to it and sung with without realizing what it meant. XD She would have been really embarrassed if she ever realized what it meant. XD

It doesn't even have to be anything you have done, it is enough that you just exist. I have a friend who sometimes gets depressed and feels that she is good for nothing and worth nothing, but I literally owe her my life. Without her in my life, I would have killed myself when I went through some difficult times. Even now when we don't meet often, whenever I feel bad about things, it is enough to know that she exists and that she would care if I were to die. There is someone like that for you as well, and you are like that for someone else, even if you don't know it yet. It might be a friend or a relative, or someone you've never spoken to, but who has noticed you and thought of you. Don't give up. Don't think of living forever, or of suffering endlessly; think only of living to tomorrow. Don't give up today; wait until you see what tomorrow brings. You might miss some truly great things. Whenever you feel helpless and like you can't go on, just think that you only need to survive until tomorrow. You can do it. Don't worry about living for years and years; it happens on its own if you only live to tomorrow. Also, try to find something that gives you even a moment a happiness or contentment. That might be a book, a film, manga, anime or maybe fanfiction. Whatever. Something that keeps you going. You could also try listening to a certain type of music; when I was seriously depressed I often listened to metal music with violent or depressing lyrics because it helped me to feel slightly better to let go of the frustration that way. Find what works for you. Take care. ♥

Don't give up! Sure, people can be ridiculously harsh, but in the end EVERYONE ends up getting uncalled-for criticism because some people don't realize it's a hobby revolving around having fun. There are really awesome, great people who cosplay, I swear!

Aw, but defaulting would hurt you if you want to participate in Yuletide in the future (without asswipe assignments).

Plus, the beauty of Yuletide is that there's a huge pool of stories, so we get to read more than just the fic that was written for us. Think of all the other people you could be pleasing with a story!
