I just wanted to add to the chorus of people telling you that I'm really sorry your recipient was such a jerk to you. I'd e-mail the mods about it if you really think it'll make you default; I'm sure they'll be helpful, either by getting you a new recipient or reassuring you that it wasn't meant that way.

Okay, so a lot of you didn't get what the secret is about:

Well, the screenshot is from a scene in Bender's Game where the cast slaughers a group of "Morks", a cross between Orcs and Mork from the planet Ork, the main character of Mork And Mindy, played by Robin Williams.

Robin Williams is my fucking hero.

I fucking felt sick to my stomach seeing the character of Mork (the sweetest alien ever) grotesquified and then SLAUGHTERED right before my eyes. I can take TV shows doing riffs on Robin, but this was beyond good-natured ribbing. This was... just plain disturbing. I fucking RAGED.

So basically Futurama is ruined forever for me. I know that sounds melodramatic, but that's why I made it a secret. Futurama fans would chew me out. Well, I've already made my decision, which is:

Robin Williams > Futurama

So there.

134- Oh, my. The point is that sometimes they investigate things that don't turn out to be supernatural, but are still very dangerous. It's about demonstrating the various outcomes their investigations can have, while also providing the fanservice of a handcuffed Dean and Sam-in-a-cage. I can't see where this is bad.

159: I honestly kind of think you saw what you wanted to see in Ten. It's unclear from reading your secret whether you stopped watching the show or whether you just left the online community, but if it's the former, I think you gave up too soon. And if you kept watching, well, you wanted to have a negative opinion about him, so you probably found reasons to hate him. I know that I do the opposite -- I want to see no bad in him.

That said, I'm kind of baffled by your assertion that he's eternally gleeful. Ten has some EXTREMELY dark moments.* Thinking he doesn't act them well is...well, I won't say "understandable" because I think he's a brilliant actor and can't understand when people say otherwise, but that's fair.

Anyway, as for the way he treats his companions -- that has nothing to do with David Tennant. That's the writing. And yes, he is a douche.

P.S: Doctor Who is a children's show. It is also largely intended to be a comedy. There is no way the fandom will ever be an intelligent or sophisticated place.

*I recently re-watched The Runaway Bride, and, oh god, the LOOK he gives Donna when she finds Rose's shirt in the console room and starts grilling him about it? Terrifying.

116. Of course, Kino is aided by the fact that everyone in her world speaks the same language, and apparently gas is dirt cheap. If you can't speak the language, chances aren't good that you won't be pegged as a "stupid tourist."

It sounds romantic, but keep in mind that Kino has come close to dying countless times, either from people or from the elements. There's a reason her motto is "try not to die." And eating rations all the time must get frustrating.

The BBC has been hinting how they're going to deal with the regeneration limitation issue all along; it's up on their official site under the FAQ and has been ever since there was an official site for New Who (http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/s4/faq/plot_continuity.shtml). It's just as canon as any other handwave... not that Who, old or new, has ever felt constrained to follow its own canon in the first place.

I'm staggered at the number of people who seriously think that the BBC would somehow be compelled to cancel a hugely popular show because of a 20-year-old plot point -- one that contradicts 40-year-old canon to boot! (War Games)

What a lot of cunts. Some people put too much emphasis on technical things and not enough emphasis on the enjoyment of the act and the character. Somehow, these people creep me out more than they anger me.

Also, WTF to not wanting to be photographed. I love photographing cosplayers, and they have all loved the attention up to now. The only times I've been turned down are by people who are late for events.

104 - Perhaps I'm biased as an H/W shipper, but I agree with you. That was a time for Cuddy to show her devotion, but it was in no way reflective of romantic feelings between the two - much less from House. He was only really half conscious and all he could think about was Amber's death and Wilson's reaction. Not a House/Cuddy shipping moment at all.
