I tried to kill myself when I was younger. I'm so, so glad now that it didn't work. My life has changed so much since then. I've made some amazing friends and had many positive experiences. Not to mention that it would have devasated my family if I'd succeeded.

You are wanted and loved. There are complete strangers here on this post whose hearts go out to you. Whatever the problem (and I don't think the real issue is a game), there is a solution and it can be fixed. Go and talk to someone about this, it'll be okay.

I've seen the betting things on who 11 is going to be and it seems to be like people have gone OMG HE WAS IN ONE DOCTOR WHO EPISODE ONCE SO IT MUST BE HIM NEXT.

Apparently RTD retconned the whole thing because... I don't know actually. Probably some BS about that damn hand.

159- Ecclestone fan! Woo! I have nothing against David Tennant, but I didn't like him as the Doctor. But most of the fandom are all butthurt he's leaving... I'm strangely not bothered.

134. all offense meant: that's the most retarded reason to not watch an episode. and benders was actually a really good episode regardless of the fact it was a family of serial killers instead of a supernatural being. they were as good as monsters.

Actually, The Bloody Benders are a fairly well known urban legend about a family of serial killers back in the 1800's. They ran some sort of inn, and would kill the guests. After the family disappeared, they found dozens of bodies on their property. The Bender Family was never caught. So I think this is meant to be a continuation of that legend, where the Benders relocated from Kansas to Minnesota, and were still killing people to this day. So yes, the monsters are human, but it's still a legend.

And if you're any kind of fangirl, the thought of one-layer Sammy in a cage, Dean tied to a chair being threatened with a hot poker while the father promises to let his sons 'take' Dean, it's a hot-dirty-wrong fangirl extravaganza.

But whatever, it's still never going to be the worst episode ever, not when they made shit like 'Route 666' and 'No Exit' and 'Red Sky at Morning'.

You probably notice it more in your own writing than in others because you're less willing to suspend your disbelief for what you write on your own. Your betas are biased because they've already suspended their disbelief to allow for smut between the two, which is, yes, a little bit out of character despite the gobs and gobs of romantic/loving subtext.

Basically? Don't worry about it, nobody else will and that's why it's fanfiction.

Fandom seems to have gotten a lot more vicious, especially at cons. Maybe I just lived in a wonderful, sugar-coated world those first years of conning, but I see what you are describing a lot more often and it's really sad. I'm sorry your experience was so awful. *hugs* I hope you can put it behind you and find others who will cosplay with you in the future.

149. I belong to the Church of Our Lord Whedon. Retcon is part of our glorious Holy Word. I imagine that, in the event of a Time Lord Emergency, RTD or Moffat or whatevs will simply follow the Holy Word of Whedon.


160. I honestly can't imagine Palpatine sullying (in his mind) himself by physically interacting with anyone. 134. Huh. "The Benders" has always been one of my favorite episodes from the first season. Sure, it wasn't a supernatural creature, but it was almost creepier that way. Plus, the OFC was one of the best they've ever come up with and IIRC, it was the first time Sam really got to kick ass.

Then again, I actually watched the episode, so. *shrugs*

123 Show them a completely random episode! You don't really need to know the entire backstory to enjoy Gintama like other, mainly non-episodic series. Or just show them some clips on youtube or some place. I'm sure a lot of clips of golden moments from the show can be found there.
