Getting ready to make garlic bread to go with my homemade alfredo sauce and fettucine. I'm still debating whether to add broccoli and chicken (already have some cooked) or just eat it plain.

This weekend I'm going to do some reading, maybe watch some TV and listen to podcasts (I discovered a new one called Fresh Hell that I'm liking, the hosts are a woman from MA and a woman from Austria and they cover murders/other creepy stuff). I also want to do some writing, and I probably need to do some work. Also probably should clean since everyone I know has been going crazy cleaning their house and organizing for the past month and I've barely done anything as far as that goes. Also want to bake something, but no idea what yet.

My family doesn't really ask about my reading choices, so they don't really know what I read. They know I read a lot of manga, but they don't know that most of it is BL. I've never thought to tell them 'cause yeah, I think they'd side-eye me a little. My friends know though and they don't give a shit.

I know that I've personally been burnt by so many unfinished fics that I don't read a WIP until it's done. That could be part of it.

I've also found that I get a better response for my own writing when I post it all at once and don't spread it out. (I always only post when I'm done).

I don't know if that helps or makes you feel better, OP (probably not) but I thought I'd say something in case it did.

It's sadly not all that abnormal, either-- but getting help is a good idea, and I mean that in the most not-condescending way possible, like...

You're suffering from some real trauma and it's coming from a super real place, OP. But you're far from alone in it, that's just one of the main ways this is affecting people. If you can do tele-therapy with someone good it might help you a lot.

I hope you stay safe and healthy, OP. I really feel your secret. I haven't posted anything really long, but I do feel a little disheartened when I get a few kudos and no comments after posting something. I do have fun writing my fics, but the lack of response kinda dims my motivation to publish them. At the same time, I think there's always at least one person who will love your fic and look forward to seeing it end. I've run across awesome fics that didn't have many views and was thrilled to see them completed.
