That sort of behavior is so insidious because the perpetrator thinks it's cute but it just wears away at the person over time and they can't do anything about it with out the mocking getting worse, ESPECIALLY in the military. I agree with the principle, however. I hate it, but I think that stems from the fact that it's shallowly plotted fap material repackaged as AN AMUH-AZING BOOK!...and I am pretty much dead from the waist up. If it was treated like every other supernatural romance novel cluttering up the shelves, I wouldn't say anything. I think the fact that people treat it like it's something more and expect me to like it by default is what pisses me off. Still, I'm not about to go after anyone for liking the thing. It isn't like all of my interests are high literature.
