YES! That is precisely what I have been saying since the first twincest I ever came across (age 11 - I really want to wipe my mind of that).
I'm ALSO a twin, and twincest is th only squick I really, really can't get over. I don't understand it.

I suspect it may be because - and this is just me talking - as a twin, you sort of know that the closeness you've got is just being a twin. To people outside, it seems sexual or something? I don't know. It's a theory.
Either way, this to the MAX.

So's mine, but my parents still tend to all my material needs and don't beat me or anything, so sometimes I feel like I shouldn't be complaining.

Then I see a character like Elliot who was materially spoiled even more than I was, and who hasn't been beaten or had a parent die on her at a young age, but who still has issues and doesn't have those issues sneeringly dismissed...it makes me feel better.

130. True. I actually love Rose, but I never assumed the dislike stemmed from, "OMG, she's in the way!" Because, seriously? Most of the people who hated on her hated on Raiden for a long, long time. And it's really not her fault that you don't get her full story until the ass ending of MGS4. Personally, I thought it could've been handled a lot better; the lack of cutscenes for her did more harm than good. My guy friend pretty much hated her until her final scene, when he was all, "Oh, that's what was going on? Well, damn."

130. Yanno, concerning MGS4, I think Kojima was doing two things: One, with Raiden he was saying, "oh, you hated Raiden did you? Well now he's a muthafucking ninja and guess what? you don't get to play him! haha~!" Two, with Rosemary, I think there was an attempt to legitimately make the character good. And it succeeded.

144) Oh god, you're not alone. I feel the same way most of the time. He's my favorite character in the comic, tied with Dan. But even though I like Dan a whole lot, I really think Manhattan is the most interesting and dynamic character in the series.

I wasn't really aware that everyone hated Jon, though. I'm just amazed at how little fandom-related material there is for him. What gives? You and I should fix this problem.
