My real life social group is all about the one liners and zingers, but there is something to be said for a little bit of professionalism on the job, and toward him, they have none. One example was something like this: McGee comes up quite and respectful to Gibbs and tries to give him some important news, Gibbs snaps at him, McGee looks a little flustered tries to say it again, gets Gibbs-attitude and then Gibbs listens but stomps off and never apologizes to McGee for snapping at McGee for DOING HIS JOB. WHAT?? Just because you think you are showing your affection to someone, doesn't mean your constantly poor treatment of them doesn't wear away at them.

107. It does have precedence, though. Off the top of my head - Nicholas Courtney played Bret Vyon a few years before he was cast as the Brigadier, Colin Baker, of course, played Maxil before he played the Sixth Doctor, Michael Sheard never played a main character but did appear in about six gazillion episodes (seriously, it wouldn't surprise me if, at some point, the Doctor commented, "...Haven't I seen you before?" XD) against five different Doctors (and, for fun, he played Admiral Ozzel in Empire Strikes Back!), and, of course, Freema played both Martha and her own cousin.

So I have no real problem with him previously having played a character before - it's happened in the past, it'll most likely happen again.

(And I can't believe people are spitting chips about him being black -_- For fuck's sake, the Doctor is an ALIEN who CHANGES BODIES - and we've already seen from Romana that they're not neccesarily human bodies! Why should a slight change in melanin be such a hurdle? *facepalms at the idiots*)

172. But at what point do you get to decide where a 'verse should end? Using anime for an example, Serial Experiments: Lain was perfect the way it was. Ghost in the Shell is epic and amazing with two seasons and three movies (so far). Yu Yu Hakusho is still one of my favorite series AND the longest series I have ever seen, at 112 episodes and two movies! A fic can be amazing with only five chapters, and suck at reaching 20, but you can also have sucky fics that are only a chapter long and amazing stories with tons of different "chapters" all set in the same verse. If you're starting to hate it, it's probably not just the length that's the problem, just the writing doesn't resonate with you anymore.
