Not bad. I watched a movie, did some yard work, currently watching the Simpsons. I made grilled tomato and cheese sandwiches for lunch. Not sure what I'll have for dinner.

Still working on packing up for the carpet installers coming on Friday. Also took a quick break to run some errands (post office, dry cleaners, pharmacy). Right now I'm feeling exhausted, but I've got my room cleared of everything but the things I'll need until the day-of the installation.

Now I'm listening to some new (to me) music on Youtube and resting and drinking Gatorade.

Oh yes, and we clipped my cat's claws this morning, and she's spent the rest of the day sulking and being mad at us.

Nothing much to report. Working from home. Did some laundry. I got some overnight oats going yesterday evening for breakfast this morning. Wish I'd slept better last night, but I got a lot is sleep the night before and got a good home wotprkout in on Sunday morning.

I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies and ate too many of them! Not one of my better batches, I think I put slightly too little flour in, but still nice on a very cold and wet day.
The weather is ghastly - it's raining a lot and the wind is strong enough that sometimes I see the rain going sideways.

Even though they are both married, and they have both said on more than one occasion they are straight, often when I see Pink or John Mulaney, a part of me still thinks, “Is s/he sure?”

I think the new Gerard Way/Party Poison Funko Pop is super cute and I'm planning on getting him, but at the same time, I'm really annoyed that there are now five Gerard Way Funko Pops and none of Ray, Frank, or Mikey. I'd love to see a four-pack with all of their Killjoy personas, but I kinda doubt it'll happen.

I begin the following secret with the strictest confidence in your discretion, FS.

I like to have fake interviews with actors I'm currently crushing on/rotating in my mental harem of fictional men/actors I'll never meet/characters they play. Not as the host or interviewer, but as a guest being interviewed too. But this is not the secret. Not really.

During this epidemic, I have found myself fixated on one actor.

I like to pretend that for some reason or another, I too have become famous, or at least become a hit in Australia/New Zealand, and I am invited onto this late night talk/game show called Nightcap, in which the guests have to appear in their pajamas, the host makes us drinks throughout the night, and the rest of the show is filled with little competitions and gags as well as some conversation/interview. On the night I am invited, the other guest is Jai Courtney. He probably doesn't know me. And I act like I've never seen a movie he's in (I honestly haven't, at least not completely. I only saw the first Divergent for about 20 mins, lol). Of all the iterations I have imagined, I like the one where we have a karaoke competition followed by a dance off while we have 5 minutes to prepare a late night snack/meal.

Nightcap does not exist. I just want a reason to explain why I like wearing gowns for pajamas like a Gothic heroine wandering through a manor while I drink a cocktail and endear myself to this actor who probably has a girlfriend and may in fact be about as bland as an unmarinated and unseasoned boiled chicken patty. Or worse. There are worse things than being bland.


PS: FS, If I ever do become famous, and for some reason a scenario similar to the one I have depicted here unfolds, and one of you recognizes it...I hope I'm not outed. I don't have anyone else to share this with so in depth lol it's rather embarrassing and I don't talk about this IRL
PPS: I listened to his band. Eh. It's alright. He could use some voice lessons. But good for him, fulfilling his dreams and what not.

TL;DR: OP has a harem of men in her head on constant rotation, has fixated on a bland actor during the lockdown, and basically indulges in self-insert RPF that takes place on a made up late night talk/game show and can only express this fantasy here.

I don't care about other fans' race headcanons. Black book Hermione Granger, asian MCU Stephen Strange, whatever floats your boat. What I hate is the woke sjw police. It's OK to not racebend characters, it doesn't mean that the fan is racist. Not everything is about being woke. It's part of the reason I migrated to Cdrama and Kdrama fandoms. Everyone is asian there, it's peaceful.

I think I'm having an (obviously) one-sided emotional affair with a pro athlete who IS actually aware of my existence. Knows my name and talks to me regularly, I mean. I don't want to name him and I don't want to tell anyone in real life, but I needed to get it off my chest.

Since the pandemic started and shelter-in-place regulations began, I came across a new fandom and streamer to help pass the time. The problem is I've developed a crush! I like collecting channel points too, but the secret is I enjoy listening to this person's voice. It's very relaxing and attractive to me. I feel really bad because it makes me feel like a creep for wanting to catch every stream and support them through donations. I try to tell myself it's a byproduct of dealing with the stress of being stuck inside all the time and that most people are bound to feel a little stir crazy, but now I find myself wanting to get to know this person. Am I being creepy, or what?

Discovering the joys of multishipping has made my fandom life a million times better. There's no more jealousy or resentment when one pairing gets more fandom love than another, I have no shortage of fic and art to enjoy, and I've made so many more fandom friends than I would have otherwise.

I can't believe it took me so many years to realize that I could be having so much more fun in fandom if I just let myself try new things.

I'm pretty sure that the only reason "A Confederacy of Dunces" makes all those "100 books you have to read before you die" lists is because the author killed himself before it was published. Even for the era and the genre, it's an awkward, painful slog.

Inspired because I'm currently watching Whose Line is it Anyway clips on YouTube to distract me from a panic attack. And I'd forgotten just how funny that show is.
