I disagree about Ned being a one-note character, but I do hope that Lee can get a good movie career going because you're right, he is incredibly talented. Although ideally I would love to see him on Mad Men. He has such an old school handsomeness to him.

108. Sephiroth is interesting? What? No offense, but the FFVII characters in general are bland...

I don't claim to have Asperger's, but I've been suspected of it before by various teachers and parents several times in my life, and I have other documented disorders that can be broadly seen as on the autism spectrum (various speech and social difficulties, ADHD), and I've researched a decent bit about symptons/causes/diagnosis, etc. And while I imagine that a bunch, if not the majority, are faking it in your case, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true for someone. I mean, ASD make it more difficult to pick up social cues, read emotions, and that can manifest in a variety of ways. Sure, a lot of people just isolate themselves, but others can come off as, well, annoying, rude, whatever.

I guess I'm trying to say that AS affects people differently (although that should be obvious)... and while it's something to be aware of, personally and possibly as a [close] friend of someone with AS, using it as an excuse as frequently as your secret implies is kind of messed up. (I know I wouldn't rattle off diagnoses when I'm meeting someone new-ish... and hell, I don't even like to reveal it online, lest I be judged for fakin'.)

108. IAWTC. Well, I don't find them all bland. But Sephiroth? Definitely very two-dimensional and cliche.

Not that I have trouble with this fact in and of itself because he's a video game character so he works perfectly well in that context -- some video games can have a great story, but I don't think that's always the main focus of them since most people go in for, you know, the gaming part of it. But in terms of a fictional character, he's not that great.

(I don't know anything about Crisis Core, though. They might've actually given him a real personality there.)

134- Agreed. I also wish people would stop hating on Terry Moore's writing. It's not awful, it's just a bit too decompressed.

144- I hate it just because BKV was doing some very interesting things playing with gender binaries, and I liked that he was challenging readers to see Xavin as both male and female. And I hate the way people were acting like their relationship was disrespectful to lesbians, like no lesbian has ever dated a trans.

I so agree with you about him being the next Doctor being a good idea. I've had too many disagreements with other friends who don't want him because he's not "British" enough. And then there is the argument that the Doctor isn't black and to make him so would be a publicity stunt for PC'ness. Sorry, I disagree with that....the theme of his regenerations is that his appearance changes radically from the one before.
