I am being moved to the logistics department of my company. I have no experience and the person training me isn't great. Today, I had to email our freight company to get something booked for delivery. I sent them the wrong number they needed and my trainer told me why (first time telling me).

So, I sent another email but it was also wrong (which number I used depends on the origin of the goods), I sent an email before they sent a new booking with the CORRECT number. They sent a new booking but they used the first correction instead of the second.

How should I correct this one? Should I apologize and say I am still learning? I feel like an idiot with these long email changes of me correcting my own shit. :(

Writing a fic...

[And full disclosure, I need to watch the source material completely, I've just been going of the wiki a bit and other fics, which were written somewhere between 9 to five years ago]

But I can;t decide if I should have the plot start post the drama (and amend the canon ending to fit my purposes or if I should just have it pre-drama...

The MC is for all intents and purposes is reviled, in the first the scenario, and only spared by a hairsbreadth (in canon he is killed). In canon he's malicious and awful, so in the second scenario, he continues to play into this/ will further the canon plot, but through different means.

There's a marriage law enacted, a la Harry Potter, so I just don't know which one to go with. Both provide chances for redemption(or as close a character like him can get) but.. I'm too lazy to write both at this time. I'm not sure which direction to go.

Hi! I'm kinda new to this com and DW as a whole. Can someone please explain what some of the acronyms mean? Like B!S and what not? I have... no idea what any of these mean (though I assume DA is different anon? idk aaaa I'm baby)

Who are some of your favorite secondary characters, and what are some examples of media that does a good job of creating complicated, interesting secondary characters that are just as fun to watch or read about as the main characters?

DS9 - with Garak and Rom (although admittedly 50% of the reason behind those two is relating to the characters in very different ways).

One Piece has over 600 characters and only 10 of them are "main."

Okay so yeah there's a good 150-200 that are just barely named and skate by in the background but that still leaves a metric assload of interesting secondary characters. My personal favorites:

Trafalgar Law, Corazon, Yamato, Bartlomeo, Vivi, Bellamy, Shirahoshi, Neptune, Cavendish, Ideo, Bluegilly, Smoker, Katakuri, Reiju, Pudding, Iceburg, Fujitora, Kyros, Buggy, Hajrudin, Shanks, Mihawk, Boa Hancock, Kuma, Sabo, Ace, Dadan, Garp...and I guess some of the villains, while I don't adore them, are super fucking interesting to the max - Kaidou, Big Mom, Doflamingo, Crocodile, Lucci.

Basically One Piece is a haven for lovers of secondary characters and I have a bunch of fandom friends who are entirely into the series for various secondary characters and hardly give two shits about the Straw Hats.

I found myself really liking Vincent in The Originals. The writing sucks in a lot of ways but his story was interesting.

Paris from Gilmore Girls. I also really liked Max (Rory's teacher that her mother nearly married). And of course Kirk and the other people from the town.

I think JKR probably wins for writing the best minor characters. All the teachers and students and villains really had their own things going on and didn't blend together in the way a lot of stories with that many characters do.

My all time faves are probably Merry and Pippin from LOTR.

There's so many secondary characters that I like in Naruto, but Gaara is definitely my favorite.

Almost all the secondary character on Jessica Jones were fantastic, though I think Jeri was my favorite (so horrible, but such a great character).

I wouldn't say that FMA's minor characters are complicated but boy do I love every single one of them.

Strangely, the first thing that comes to my mind is HanaKimi, the manga. It's a boarding school romance and the main pairing's class mates with their subplots and woes and interactions were so much fun. I don't know if mangas in general are good at secondary characters, but HanaKimi did it well enough that it stuck with me for more than ten years.

Anyone remember when Fandom!Secrets posted a bunch of black squares as 'secrets' in protest of, iirc, SOPA/PIPA and we all had fun commenting on imagined aspects of the secrets? And some people actually MADE the secrets based on the comments. It was quite fun.

I don't know if F!S has done that again since then. I know there have been opportunities in the times where I wasn't even logging into Dreamwidth.

Ended up calling my doctor since my headache wouldn't go away and it had been 6 days. He gave me a new prescription. It has started to help at least a little. And it also is a relaxant as well as a painkiller, so I feel a whole lot less tense. I took it an hour ago and I've been zoning since It kicked in. Probably going to crash and take a nap soon.

So yes, migraine day 6, but I appear to have turned the corner.

Also, went to my local Walmart (rural Oklahoma) to pick up meds. Was pleasantly surprised that everyone was wearing masks (correctly!).

Have noticed fruit flies the past few days but wasn't sure where they were coming from. I discovered the source today (potatoes I could've sworn I'd already thrown out) and got rid of that so I'm hoping between their food source being gone and the sticky trap things I got from Amazon, they'll be gone soon.

Also, it's been storming like crazy for the past half an hour. I was talking to my mom and their electricity went out so I'm hoping it stays on here!

Been volunteering at my local library. It's not opened up completely to the public yet, but we're sorting out returned books and finding books people have reserved online/over the phone so they can just pick it up at the front desk every few days. Today was one of the un-opened days so that I could look around the library for books for reservation or to pick up lucky-dip books.

It went alright, even though I got a little frustrated at inputting data with excel (we have to note what books we found or put to the side for lucky dips) - hoping to do better next week.

Not sure how to word that lmao but! Have you ever seen a minor, perhaps even unnamed, one-off character in a thing and just loved them so much you basically made them a psuedo-OC? Not fully original obviously but expanding upon what little personality you may have seen and the what not?

For me I've "taken" two one-off characters from the anime Bungou Stray Dogs, specifically Sakura, the orphan girl Oda Sakunosuke was taking care of, who I gave a retcon of how she may have survived and then grown up, so my version of her she is 18 instead of 4 now, and Karma, a one-off mafia member who was killed by the current arc's big bad, who I also retconned his death and created a story where he ends up joining the big bad's side.

Has anyone else ever done this, or am I just weird?
