104 - I read it for the LULZ too, and it was only through fandom that I found out just HOW bad it was despite the addictiveness of the books. I started likening it to Pringles-- once you start, you can't stop, even if you know it's horrible (for you). If you do mock it at all, mock it for the right reasons-- fans cutting their necks to show to RPattz; girls believing that it's attractive to be klutzy and let a man control you, etc.

110 -I'm somewhat sad to admit it, but I listened to a fair amount of Muse before seeing it, but mostly stuff from "Absolution" (so not "Supermassive Black Hole"). I read at the end of one of the books that SMeyer liked Muse and found them inspirational, so I knew one of their songs would end up in the movie, but I didn't know which one (and I kept forgetting to look up the soundtrack listing). Thus, when that scene came and went, I didn't even realize it was "Muse," and thought that "Butterflies and Hurricanes" would have made a better "Twilight" theme song (although probably not for that scene, or maybe any particular scene... maybe for a trailer). <-- is bad Muse fan. ;_;

120 - Is that the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" song with that line "Choose me or/your pyre?" I don't remember the song title or even the priest/whatever guy's name, but I do remember that line/song so distinctly because that song DID freak me out.

126 - Hey OP, what's your font?

134 - You can still get it from a library or do what a lot of other people I've known have done-- bum it off a friend. Or in my case, a roommate's little sister. In any case, don't let people judge you-- you want to judge for yourself whether it's crap, and sometimes that means trying it instead of just listening to the masses. You can also probably find eBook versions online and whatnot.

110. Am I the only one who thinks that song's overrated? Not to say use of it in that scene wasn't... weird, but whatever.

131. I find neither at all realistic, to be honest. Skins is brilliant, BH is a cheesy guilty pleasure, but both portray 6th form as a hell of a lot more interesting than it actually is.

I was worried about how Terra would be handled, and it looks like my worst fears became true. Yes, Terra was timid in the beginning of the game, but she didn't cower before enemies, and got comfortable with both Edgar and Locke very fast (if I remember right, she actually questioned Edgar's supposed womanizer status the moment they first met!), so not only is she an exaggeration in Dissidia, she's an insulting exaggeration. Disappointing. And she barely looks strong enough to stand on her own, although it would be perfectly all right for her to have muscles since she fights with a sword and all. Then again Cloud looks starved and Kuja got toned down, so perhaps extreme waif!Terra was expected.

Hahahaha. Try fighting with her in the game and come back and say she's a pansy.

She's taken from before the World of Ruin. I'm not saying she's a total wuss, but she was still rather scared of her powers. It wasn't until the World of Ruin that she came to completely accept her power, as I recall.

It's not like she cowers before Kefka and the Onion Knight has to save her. She tells him she won't forgive him and then proceeds to kick his ass. Sorry that S-E can't portray Terra exactly as you envision her. Gee, they really fail as a company, huh? Nevermind the other 95% of Dissidia.

Yo, me too sometimes. And I'm a bi girl, so I get the shit-storm that is coming out, believe me, i get it.

Mostly, I've always had moments (not really TS though) where I wish I was born a boy. It seems easier, like there are more options open to me in the long haul (hi impressive professions and making more money and being part of the old boys club!), and sense I identify as queer, I always assume man!me would be too.

Having the fandom ruined =/= having the source material ruined.

I quit a certain fandom a while ago because the massive source-hate didn't match my own feelings. Also, the quality of the contributions was going waaaaaay down. I still follow the show, still disagree with the general internet public about its quality and the reasons for such, and am quite satisfied with my decision. There was another fandom I was considering getting involved in, but when I heard they were in the process of doing essentially the same thing, I stayed the hell out. Again, couldn't be happier.

If it's the fandom itself that ruins the fandom for you, getting out should be taken as PROOF of your devotion to the source.

In the more popular ff.net categories M (the former R rating) has basically become the old NC-17. People haven't really downgraded their content. They've just re-adjusted the ratings system. All in all it's not a surprising development.

It's waaaay worse on tape than actually reading it. There is very little change in tone no matter what the dialogue is and this makes bad writing even worse. I would recommend either just buying it (online or in a store) or finding one of the many copies of the ebook floating around.
