OP, I understand completely. I feel exactly the same about One Piece. I'm sure it's a great show, I know people who swear it's amazing, but every time I try to get into it I just can't get around how cracktastically freaky everyone looks long enough to pay attention to the story. :(

Ah, the episode that practically had the two go from tension to hatred to resentment to psycho-ness to hell-bent on revenge to violent to batshit to bitch/bastard mode- and finally, to being adorable.

YES, THE PLOT IS GODDAMN WONKY. But the conversation between them in the cliff is the thing that basically won me over and finally shipped them. Hard.

THIS. I don't think I've ever read a post where I knew ALL (or even most) of the fandoms. That could just mean I don't know a lot of fandoms, or I don't register a fandom as "known" unless I'm in it, can identify the characters/the channel it's on/whatever.

Why comment on a fandom secret when I don't know anything about the fandom in question except its name or some of its actors (if that)?

158. Not all fic at ff.net it bad, just the stuff you've read I guess. I post there because more often than not, I'll write a story that doesn't have an lj community (or an active one), and not many of the people on my f-list are super into it, and plus you can get more readers that way, the people the browse the site AND LJ people just if you post a link or whatever.
161. I actually did just about an hour ago, for the first time since I started playing the game nine years ago. No cheats at all.
And OMG this makes me REALLY want to bust out the original Sims and play it again.
