People always say Hustle is a rip off of the Sting, but they just have con jobs and on the odd occasion revenge in common. (It has even LESS in common with Ocean's f'in Eleven)

I haven't seen Leverage but the whole thing smacks of being inspired by Hustle more then anything else (the sort of people on the team, "sometimes bad guys make the best good guys" Really?) That being said most comedy/drama mix shows have serious/drama counterparts and visa versa. Hustle/Leverage, ER/Scurbs, Psych/The Mentalist etc.

Season 5 of Hustle is coming around soon, but I'm not encouraged by what I'm hearing so far (no Danny, no Stace, and so on.)

(I do kind of hate to break up Charley's marriage, though -- I mean, he's the only one of the three protagonists who's even marginally happy in that regard and it seems a shame to mess with that.)

True story:

Things were getting kinda serious with this guy I was seeing, when he informed me that he really liked getting peed on. It was a difficult and awkward thing for him to bring up, obviously, and I wasn't expecting it, but I tried it with him just to see what it was like. He was really into it (like REALLY into it), but it was so NOT my thing. At all. It wound up being our deal-breaker. I wanted him to find someone who enjoyed that as much as he did, and that someone was not gonna be me, not ever; I couldn't pretend to like it and he knew I couldn't (nor did he expect me to), so that was that.

I know this is an unusual and maybe extreme case here and I swear I'm not trying to freak you (or anybody else) out, but the point is, you can keep your standards and your virginity if you are saving yourself for marriage, but I HIGHLY recommend discussing your sexual preferences (and sexual dislikes!) openly and honestly with your future hubby BEFORE you get married.

YES. I second this suggestion whole heartedly. You don't actually have to act on anything, but I fear you're only setting yourself up for disappointment or outright disaster if you don't at least talk about your sexual expectations before marriage. I have a friend who was absolutely miserable in her marriage because she and her husband didn't hash these issues out before marriage and he absolutely refused to do what she liked. They're divorced now. Mostly because he was a total douche and an alcoholic, but the bedroom issues were fairly significant as well.

Remember: If you can't talk about it, you shouldn't be doing it, marriage or no!

118 -- Power Rangers was a guilty pleasure of mine when I was a kid and Trini was my absolute favorite. I'm in my mid-20s now and a few years ago I randomly looked up the actress who played her. I found out she died in a car accident and I burst into tears. So sad!

I've never ventured into the LJ Code Geass fandom myself, but I haven't met anybody who actively hates this pairing so far. I'm really sorry that you and other fellow shippers met such harsh criticism for shipping one of the cutest most obvious pairings in the series. :(

115 - Secrets like this bother me. I'm not heavily involved in SPN fandom, but I do lurk in several places (and participate at CLSPN), and I simply have not come across the kind of hatred for things not Sam/Dean that secrets like this seem to claim is so rampant in the SPN fandom. Sure there's been a few crazy die-hards who are like that, but my experience has been that the vast majority just love the show, and while they may love Sam/Dean and ship it like a freight train, they're not raining down the hate on other characters for interfering with their ship. Seriously, are we inhabiting two different fandoms or something?? Is there a second dimension to SPN that I'm not aware of?? o_O

158 - As I understand it, it's an LJ-specific thing. If you've got a specific layout with a paid account, you can set comment pages to match YOUR journal style. Of course, if you're browsing a single community (like, say fandomsecrets), it might be kind of awkward to go from that community/journal's layout (or universal layout) to your own journal's layout coment page.

...It doesn't make sense to me.
