I can see this. Jane hasn't had much of a role in the MCU for a while, either. Valkyrie would be so much better, but I'd be down with Sif, too.

I've been waiting for explicit bottom!Kuwabara fanart for decades now - but with Hiei. There's a serious dearth of explicit Kuwabara content on all fronts and I'll never understand why because Kuwabara is in fact the best character of Yu Yu Hakusho. Where's the smutty Yukina/Kuwabara content for that matter? Yukina is both canon and hot, where's all her fanart?. *continues waiting patiently in my horny corner of the internet*

Huh. I guess he's taller and "plainer", sure, but Yusuke's definitely the stronger of the two and routinely handed Kuwabara's ass to him even before they got into the demon/spirit world stuff, and his overall personality better fits the "tough guy" thing than Kuwabara (Eikichi comes to mind). I would have absolutely assumed top!Yusuke, by strict stereotypical dynamics. Their heights don't factor in for me at all.

As someone who likes Angel Dust x Veggie AND Veggie x Charlie I kind of feel you anon. I would only argue that it was just a pilot and in future episodes we may, I hope, get a more explicit representation of Veggie and Charlie's relationship. (also agree with liking the idea of Dust being a top).

*nods* I have a related shipping habit, one that developed from a personal relationship. Gay men 'going straight' for their female best friends is hot in the same way it's hot when straight guys go gay for their male best friends. There's an element of 'will they/won't they' that is exciting.

Outside of that kink, I just want a fuck load more bisexuals in media in general. More bi content spanning the spectrum with a wide variety of narrative and vision.

What I really want is more bisexual characters who actually have relationships/are involved with members of the same sex, not just members of the opposite sex. Almost all of the canon bi characters I can think of ultimately end up in het relationships and it's kind of disappointing.

Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble are much better, but I suppose they are from an era when the sitcom husbands weren't quite so stupid yet.

I can tell you from first hand experience that being married to someone who loves you with all his heart isn't a picnic if his idiocy constantly creates problems for you that you have to solve, if you end up doing 99% of the emotional labor in your marriage, if you're always the responsible adult because your husband isn't, if he means well but somehow always screws up or drops the ball, etc. The anger and resentment builds to toxic levels, even if you love one another very, very much.

Because at the end of the day, the choice isn't between a competent bastard and a loving idiot, it's between a life with a partner who cannot/will not pull their own weight in a relationship and a life where you don't have to carry that extra burden because your "partner" isn't there for you.

That would require more canon bisexuals regardless of whether or not they end up with opposite sex or same sex partners. There's so few to begin with in television and movies and most of them are female and written by men.

Yusuke's more of a pretty boy, which combine that with their relative heights and builds he was basically destined to be the bottom in fandom's eyes unfortunately.

Yusuke definitely does have a more "tough guy" attitude too, I agree, but you see, when fandom decides they want a certain character to bottom that just becomes even more of an incentive. If fandom liked the idea of him topping they would claim his tough guy attitude means he's such a manly top, he could never bottom, but since fandom decided he's a bottom now it's all "uwu it's even hotter once he lets go of those inhibitions in bed and gets a good railing".

As with most BL stereotypes they're insanely arbitrary and make literally zero sense if you think about them for more than a half second, but it is what it is. :(

My favorite fanfic series is this one about Basil and Ratigan from The Great Mouse Mouse Detective by colonel_bastard. It is dark, and heavy,but beautifully written.

My personal fave is a tossup between Frasier and My Name Is Earl - both are as witty as they are funny. Least favorite is... well... there's a lot of sitcoms I cannot bare to watch, now that I think about it. Everybody Loves Raymond makes me grit my teeth and Last Man Standing is like nails on a chalkboard.

I don't ship this pairing, but nearly everything about Kuwabara screams uke and I can't see Yusuke being an uke with anyone (well, maybe Keiko).
