If you like h/c, the first book in the Jacobite Trilogy by DK Broster - Flight of the Heron - may be worth investigating. Also The Wounded Name by the same author.
Robot Detective Series by Asimov, Elijah/Daneel, emotional and electronic h/c. 4k
https://archiveofourown.org/works/19082842
Also a good canon for h/c

Practically anything Starsky and Hutch.

(Anonymous) 2021-03-14 01:00 am (UTC)(link)In some ways I think the movie was ahead of its time - the whole idea of a horror franchise that wasn't necessarily about having the same villain in every movie is something that clearly can work, just look at the Conjuring films

(Anonymous) 2021-03-14 02:47 am (UTC)(link)41-50%
Critters
Final Destination 2
Flatliners
The Mummy Returns

Lake Placid (okay, only slightly better)
Final Destination 3
31-40%
Nightbreed
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Resident Evil
Underworld
Halloween II (1981)
21-30%
The Bride
Blade: Trinity

The Seventh Sign
0-10%
The Covenant (this is a bad movie, but not this bad)
And these are the ones that I enjoyed watching, but agree with their critical consensus (or maybe even thought they were worse)
41-50%
The Meg
Scream 3
31-40%
Anaconda
Village of the Damned (1995)
21-30%

Listening to audiobooks with my eyes closed. Preferably books I already know, so I don't have to follow a plot.
A nice hot bubble-bath.
Good luck. Pain is the pits.

(Anonymous) 2021-03-14 09:09 am (UTC)(link)Hot baths or showers. In either case I try to turn the lights down as far as I can make it without being impossible to see. But since the headaches usually come with light sensitivity, it helps if I don't have to have the lights on much.
