Had eggs and mushrooms for dinner.
Will be going to a building inauguration tomorrow.

Work was a lot of BS today, two of our employees have found new jobs and are moving on (unrelated reasons, they'd been putting feelers out for awhile), another is on paternity leave for the next couple months, I have a sinking feeling things are not going to get better.

So anyway, it's past 5pm so Pokemon Go spotlight hour and earning hearts for a flower crown Eevee so I can have a flower crown Sylveon. Wheee.

Worked on unpacking today. Played with my kitty a lot. Right now we're resting. She's in her cat tree, I'm on the air mattress. She's enjoying the sun, I'm enjoying Youtube vids.

My two year old wired headphones finally broke. So I bit the bullet and got some airpods. Took me a while to figure out how charging worked without an iPhone. Can't wait to use them at work tomorrow.

I attended an online chocolate tasting this afternoon, and...wasn't impressed. It was all dark chocolate and quality bars, and I love dark, quality chocolate, but it was all just so meh. Nothing really stood out to me, and the one bar I did like was comparable to any other decent bar of dark chocolate. I hope other people in the tasting liked the chocolate, I felt kinda bad about finding it all as blah as I did. :(

I slept funny days ago so my neck had been stiff but now I have full mobility back after taking too many Aleve, so that's exciting for me. My Ben and Rey funko pops also arrived in the mail! I have no real use for these things but they're cute so I'm happy.

Coming to terms with not being able to seek help for my anxiety because I can't afford a therapist and the last time I went to the NHS for help, I spent 6 weeks being told that I should just not have anxiety and that my worries were stupid. So I'm looking up books and figuring out what improvements I can make to try and help myself.

Just checked the website of a humorist I’ve enjoyed for quite a while but whose output only comes in trickles and found an unexpected recent piece - and it’s the coldest of hot pisstakes on different genders and queerness. Honestly feels out of nowhere, both in idea and execution. I can’t even be angry, just disappointed.

Got my first vaccine shot today and so far just feeling a bit nauseous! Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Some people are horrible. They know this is a vulnerable time for many others psychologically so they make a point of being aasholes only to see if these others crumble down 🙃

I don't know who you are, but - What do you win if I crumble? What's it? What makes useless, anonymous piece of shit me's disgrace matter this much then?

Nobody can even see me anymore because people avoid looking at that which is too ugly and sad.

I am tired.

How is Nintendo always so damn behind on industry standards? It blows my mind the switch is not bluetooth compatible.

A neighbor is being a giant drama llama on Facebook, antagonizing another neighbor and then wailing about how much stress it's causing her and her chronic illness, blah blah blah. I have no patience with people who create their own problems.

People who rec CBD oil for everything under the sun. Sure, let's try the remedy that's expensive and unproven.

My neighbor is experiencing hearing loss, but refuses to go to the doctor because "it'll go away on its own". In the meantime, he cranks his radio ridiculously loud in the morning when he's getting ready for work and it's driving me batty. He's a good neighbor otherwise, but I don't understand "waiting it out" when dude's got good health insurance.

Not having a working copy of Acrobat on my new-as-of-this-winter computer yet. I deal with having to edit/create PDFs a lot for work but since Adobe's crappy subscription thing just will not accept my credentials through the organization for some reason, I keep having to pull out my old slow laptop that had it already installed and verified whenever PDFs are involved in my job in a greater capacity than "here is a PDF, please upload it to the site and link it from this page".

Three tickets are not done in my department because no one but me ever deals with the PDF tickets and me dealing with them has become so much more annoying, so I kinda let them sit until there were multiples and I wouldn't just be slowly booting up the old laptop and slowly loading Acrobat to do two minutes of work and then slowly shut it all down again. :P But none of them even have deadlines involved, so when the third one came in at the end of today I decided I'll do it tomorrow. Zero spoons by the last ten minutes of today.

Bright sunlight. Loud noises. People who try to talk to me when I'm listening to music with my headphones in.

People who drive below the speed limit and aren't in the right lane. People who forget they need to exit until after the exit but still insist on exiting, nearly hitting people not exiting in the process. People who don't use turn signals. People who keep going through an intersection after the light turns red. Tailgaters. Weavers who are so desperate to get just a few feet ahead that they switch lanes every few seconds and pass right in front or behind the other cars. Nervous drivers who go way to slow and take forever to pull out even when there are multiple opportunities to do so. People with their high beams on when other cars are near them. Cars with their regular lights that are so bright they look like high beams. People who drive super fast in the rain or at night when they should be driving at least a little slower to be safe. People who don't put lights on when it is pouring and visibility is way down.

Still can't walk around the apartment complex/neighborhood at any time of day without running into way too many fucking people around. Sigh. I need to exercise, and right now, walking is the best type of exercise for me.

Leave a comment if you've every gotten goosebumps while listening to music. I read somewhere that this is a rare phenomenon but I just don't feel like it's rare at all.
