121. Although I was never Catholic, and my religious beliefs are currently rather mixed up... Father Mulcahy was always my favorite character on M*A*S*H. I admire his humility and desire to do good. He restores my faith in humanity. ;) And reminds me of another Catholic who, although slightly more badass, could totally have an excellent, healing conversation with Mulcahy if they were ever to meet... (Hallo, Vater Mulcahy, I am called Kurt Vagner...)

101: I feel your pain. It's not Half Life for me, but Xenosaga, and I've missed the boat of when it was cool and can't convert friends or find much of an active online fandom. (was actually going to make a secret about that myself, lawl). Why can't we like, I dunno, Final Fantasy? A lot of the games are older than dirt and still have an active fandom with fic and everything... Tell you what, I got the Orange Box for Portal back when I used Windows, and if I can get it to work on Ubuntu, I'll give Half Life a chance. :3

168: This one kind of really hits close to home for me. I want to be motivated to do a good job at college and put myself on the right track for having a good career in the future, really. But... I'm just not motivated, whereas for fic and fanart and yeah, some cosplay, I really care and wanna do a good job. I don't think it's fandom related, but it's just harder for different people to care about different things. I'm glad you're happy with your career, but please remember that we aren't all motivated over the same things.

165 - i agree with you - he's really pretty mediocre. but he has buttloads of charisma and, for me, it's that i really and truly admire his passion. it's clear that he LOVES what he does. yeah, ok, so maybe he's not the best at it. but he pours his heart and soul into it and is clearly having a ball, and that's what i love about him. he just has such life and spirit about him that seems so infectious, and because of it i find myself able to look past his flaws.

Mostly I'm a fan of Capt. Jack as a character and less a fan of Barrowman himself. Although I think he's hilarious and I don't think anyone else could play Jack as well. He's just got the charisma to pull it off even though he's not the greatest actor. In regards to his music I think he should stick to showtunes mostly. His voice is perfect for musicals.
