I kinda agree. I loved Gideon and Elle, but I really enjoy the dynamic that the team has now. With Mandy around, it always felt a bit like CM = that Mandy Patinkin show.

I never understood why people hate it. After all the misery Harry & co had to endure, the epilogue made me feel very peaceful and... comforted, I guess. They deserved that happiness after everything they went through.

I always think BtVS gets forgotten in all the 'history of fandom' talks, when really, there was nothing quite like B/A shipper wank! The BtVS fandom, I swear, was such a huge part of the beginnings of wank and ship-wars. Not sure why I feel proud of this but I do. As I B/S shipper I got to be involved, but usually on the *slightly* less crazy side. Ha.

Ahh I miss old-school Buffy fandom! :)

Are epilogues a requirement for a bildungsroman? Harry Potter certainly fits the genre, but I think Harry had enough "growing up" for this to be true even Deathly Hallows ended at its penultimate chapter.

Oh, and my thoughts on the epilogue for the record: Meh.
