I DID IT! I TALKED TO THEM AND THEY WERE VERY NICE. I spoke to them on my story and then read one of theirs that I actually kind of liked a lot and left kudos and a comment and we chatted for a bit and I was like 'I know people have been mean to you before but never stop writing okay?' and they said 'I will never give up!' and I'm just like :'D

I don't blame you for loving them, OP. I can't really understand why adults are mad at someone who's not an adult for not bringing adult sensibilities or skill to writing. It's as easy as not reading once they realize that they don't like this person's stuff.

i've definitely been on the side of being super annoyed at someone putting out bad fanworks or doing fandom wrong or whatever, but yknow i'm also 100% with you and this is a very cute secret.
i remember how proud and bold i was about my bad art when i was young (god i gave my grandma a printout of my emo poems as a gift) and i miss that kind of fearlessness dearly

Aww, this secret made me smile so much. :) I recently got into a new fandom that seems to skew quite young and I'm loving my time in it because everyone's so happy creating fanworks. It reminds me of when I was their age before I started second-guessing every little thing I wrote.

It's pretty clearly to do with December "Dess" Holiday, who appears to be a missing person and a major trauma point for both Kris and Noelle. Toriel is also kind of a bitch, and I say this as someone who loves her, especially if she's blaming him for Dess going missing like I suspect--and I don't think he actually had anything to do with that beyond people wanting someone to blame for a kid disappearing.

He made an awkward joke because he needed to talk to Toriel about the whole Asriel thing and he wanted to break the ice for that and took an opening because she has been outright avoiding him.

Yeah, the first part of the story quest was pretty meh. I mean, some stuff was funny but I wasn't really interested since that wasn't really what I wanted to see out of her.

The second part was good though, it was cool watching her in action and how she dealt with things.

Oof, I love starting scenes in media res and then backtracking, but you can't do that to open every scene.

Good luck, supporting your friend, OP (although since you said the story is getting attention, maybe at some point you can support them a little less. Just say you got busy IRL or something. If other people are reading or commenting on it, they might not need your cheerleading as much anymore).
