I have slash otp's and het otp's depending on the characters/show/pairing etc. Because it's more about them than their genders. There are some characters I think are perfect for a slash relationship, some I think perfect for a het relationship depending on them.

It's crazy when people feel like they have to always ship slash or always ship het and won't consider anything else. Makes me realise they really don't care about the actual characters that much.

I usually think they are likely just in it for the pretty and the porn if thats the case. Not actually thinking that these characters would be right together.

Okay, I say this as a big Donna fangirl--but I do find Catherine Tate sort of weird-looking. There's something odd about her face--depending on her hairstyle and the camera angle, she either looks really pretty or kinda fug. It changes from minute to minute for me. That hairstyle doesn't do her any favors, and neither does that angle.

However, that's part of what I like about Donna. She's ordinary, accessible, has personality/physical flaws. And the more I liked the character, the prettier I found her. It's too bad the OP can't see past their perception of her appearance to the awesome.

(Plus, I would maim old ladies for gorgeous red hair like that. I mean, seriously.)
