I haven't seen any Pine/Quinto fic yet... in fact, I haven't even seen any fic for the new film.

This is one of my favorite novels ever. I work for a specialty audiobook store and I cannot find this on CD. As far as I can tell its only available on cassette, which annoys and saddens me greatly.

I got it on CD from my library:

It's read by Jill Tanner, who does a pretty decent job (especially with the accents), except her pacing is just too slow on the narration. I understand that she wants to enunciate and be clearly understood, but (as you know) the tone of the narration is kind of roguish and light on its feet, and her pace plods at times, sucking all the wit and fun right out.

And hooray for finding another fan! Do you love Henry as much as I do? :)

To the OP: I was the second anon to post a response to your secret. I wanted to apologize because I feel terrible about it now. I said what I said because of personal things that I went through. I don't think you're a pedophile and I feel really terrible about insinuating it. Hopefully you'll forgive my insensitive comments and hopefully understand that I said them because of something I went through.

But I wouldn't blame the whole fandom for the stupid segment of it--there isn't a ton of Laurie love in the fandom, but there's definitely great Laurie fic/art out there (and a lot of people in the fandom who don't find Laurie a favorite character but don't bash/hate her).

I just ordered the book (because it sounded interesting). It's the second time I order a book after reading about it on F!S :D I hope I don't regret it but the reviews on amazon sounded amazing.
