... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

James Herbert's The Rats: I can't decide if this trilogy is the creepiest horror trilogy ever, or I just found it so because it was the first set of horror books I ever read. Either way, a fear of giant rats has stayed with me.

I hate when in movies and tv shows, people are in a car and the driver takes their eyes off the road to have a conversation with people inside the car for minutes on end. It always raises my anxiety level; eyes on the road, people.

I liked Terminator: Dark Fate. If it had come out a couple of years earlier or later, so it wasn't in the crosshairs of those go-woke get-broke misogynists at the top of their little crusade, it would have been a lot better received I feel.

Star Trek TNG: Homeward. The main plot is bad, but also it ignores the Enterprise's basic science mission. When faced with a dying planet, the senior staff can debate whether to save the natives or not, but the rest of the ship should be scrambling to get biosamples, plants, animal specimens, soil mycorrhiza, etc too. This is the last chance to get them before they are gone forever. And there is none of that. Everyone stands around and just says welp, everything's dead, now lets argue about Worf's brother instead. There is none of the buzz of background activity there oughta be.

Moon Knight: Gus the one finned goldfish damn well better be okay. I don't care what happens to the rest of the characters, it is the fish I am invested in.

I only have one VHS tape that is locked away out of reach of my kids, but unlike other people my forbidden tape is not porn. It is my guilty pleasure movie, Gunga Din. I love that old movie for family reasons, but I sooooo would not want my children watching it. It is too full of just about every -sim you can name. Still, that moment Din blows the bugle to warn the British gets me every time.

It's a stupid premise and it shouldn't be taken seriously (and I don't), but I fucking love the Battleship movie.

It's just fun.

I will never see Star Trek Discovery as anything more than a reboot of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, and certainly not Star Trek.

My favourite part of reading the webnovels the Lost Tomb dramas are based on is Wu Xie meeting someone disguised as him and thinking, 'Damn, that is one punchable face.'

I've had my gripes about Funimation over the years, but I'm still sad that it's slowly being dissolved due to the Crunchyroll merger. I know it makes more sense for Crunchyroll to be the brand name since it has more global recognition than Funimation, but I have a lot of nostalgia for Funimation and I'm just sad to see it go.

I commute to work/everywhere daily. I read fic on my phone. Smutty or not, I read it (if I catch you looking, I'll do my best not to shame you, nosey voyeur).

The thing is, now, if I catch other people reading on their phones (which is plenty of people) and I happen to catch the formatting (tumblr-esque? AO3? Random PDF with dialogue breaks?) I assume they're also reading fic and I get a sense of satisfaction knowing I'm not the only one.

S!B: omg HDU read (smutty) fic on your commute using public transport?! And then accuse others of being nosey voyeurs while you're being the nosey voyeur?! AND assume ANYONE is reading fic, much less smut! * Honestly, it just makes me feel glad/smug at the prospect of not being the only person "openly" enjoying fic*

i posted a smut fic a while ago where there's blatant mention of the characters Thinking about something and then Deciding that they don't care. let's say, for anonymity's sake, that it's using condoms.

all good so far, right? well, i keep getting comments saying something to the effect of "LOL WHY DOES EVERYONE FORGET ABOUT USING CONDOMS???"

it's mentioned DURING the porn so it's not like i can assume that readers just skipped to "the good part". it's making me wonder about my writing skills, if something i thought was so obvious is getting brought up like, three times during the fic...

Everytime I read/watch something that has characters shift into an animal and they go hunting in a forest, I can't help but think of all the parasites you'd get from eating raw animals/being in a forested area.

I know it's not suppose to be realistic but once you learn how easy and normal it is for wild animals to have some sort of parasitic gutload it's hard not to feel a little grossed out. :(

r/place was an absolute blast and I love the designs I helped build and the terriritory I helped defend.

I'm all for the youth having a good time on Wattpad ( ANYONE having a good time on Wattpad). But sometimes (SOMETIMES!), when these wattpadders migrate to AO3 all I can think is "CONFORM TO THE STANDARDS!"

That is
1. Have it your way with formatting but don't get crazy (and add a bunch of little windings? Is that what it is? This is not Myspace!!!)

Mainly that. I sound like a party pooper/the mod of an archive that only allows ~quality~ beta read fic, and my usual philosophy is if you don't like, don't read/let people have their fun. But sometimes...sometimes...

B!S: The drabble/imagine/brief glimpses Tumblr-era fics drive me right up the wall too. THIS IS NOT EXPERIMENTAL POETRY. IT'S FUCKING FIC. PART OF MY BRAIN AUTO CORRECTS ALL OF YOUR NONSENSE AND I'M MAD THAT YOUR PLOT IS PRETTY GOOD/5 SECONDS OF CHARACTIZATION ARE SPOT ON.

S!B: Well, who the fuck am I? Let people write their fic in peace. All this said, I do abide by my skip if I can't stand the formatting/composition and I don't bother commenting unless I like the fic. It's not nice to rain on someone's parade. Just had to get this off my chest, don't have people to whine about this. I also recognize you can write a piece of fic that's in fact experimental poetry. Hell, you can write it like a lab report. But the execution...anyway, I'll have a day once year where I gripe about this shit.

While Censor (2021) was kind of a ho-hum movie, the themes presented within it are awesome and I’d love to read an anthology collection with a bunch of writers’ different takes on the general story outline, be it straight up fanfiction or original fiction.

John Carpenter’s Vampires set a new bar for me in ‘so bad it’s good’-type horror flicks. Truly a rare day when I stumble across a flick so positively earthshaking in how shitty the acting and script are that I have to take five minutes after watching to reflect on my life choices up until this point. To so willingly subject myself to such a masochistic act, my god, what else am I capable of?

I tried watching the first episode of Halo but I stopped as soon as Master Chief took his helmet off.
s!b: I'm haven't even played any of the Halo games and should not be invested in it and if I'm honest, my main issue is that he looks so incredibly.. bland, I just would have preferred it if the helmet had stayed up.
