I grew up with the OT, but I watch the Prequels more. Ewan McGregor, Ian McDiarmid, and Sir Christopher Lee really made these movies shine.

I don't exactly love the prequel movies (though I also don't care that much about the original ones) but I am grateful for their existance because they gave us Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi (who is probably my favourite fictional character) and many, many fanfics that I quite frankly enjoy a lot more than any of the movies.

I like them *as much* as 4/5/6, but they really fucked with some of the continuity. I'm currently rewatching them now (watched 5 earlier tonight), and there's so many scenes where people should know each other or information should be obvious and it's so frustrating.

Sorta same. I like the prequel era the best, and Obi-Wan is my favorite character, but I've come to like the cartoons, comics, and books way more than the movies. But the prequel era is definitely my fave, with the High Republic a close second.

understandable, I feel like most of the complaints people have of the prequels are a little overexaggerated, they are fine movies. personally, I have more fun watching the OT movies more, but care about the characters of the prequels more, if that makes any sense.

I was a kid when I saw the Prequels in theaters, so they will always hold the #1 spot for me, regardless of criticism. I still haven't seen the originals and don't care to. I've enjoyed the newest ones too. But the Prequels are classic to me.

I never really liked the OT because I didn't care about the characters, always thought Darth Vader was more funny than threatening and my main issue was that I always hated how the aliens looked.

I like them better too, OP! The Phantom Menace is the first movie I remember being taken to in theaters and I saw all the prequels before any of the OT, and I am very glad that's how I was able to experience the saga.
