I think the only people who don't hate that sort of formatting (I wouldn't go so far as to say I hate the people who format fic like that, but the format itself is enough to put me off reading anything) are the people who do that sort of formatting. Personally, I tend to assume they're compensating. If the story was good, the format would highlight the words rather than itself.

I just bought this book today and I'm about 1/3 of the way through it. I've been wondering who the cat on the cover is. I was thinking either Hollyleaf or Nightcloud. But she doesn't have the white muzzle that Hollyleaf has in other pictures (except on Power of Three #1 as well) Your secret makes it sound like Hollyleaf because "ineffectual and whiny" describes her very well. XD Plus Nightcloud really hasn't appeared much in the series. :0

Strangely I was quite sad too. It was made worse when I saw Lindsay on Ellen Degeneres' show. She was so lifeless, dead behind the eyes. She wasn't coping well at all and it was heartbreaking. They were cute together.
