It doesn't take as much as you might think to breathe life back into old fandoms. One really good fic, a prolific artist, some well-written meta -- all kinds of things can rekindle people's interest. It's worth trying, at least! And generally older fandoms have HUGE backlogs of fic to wade through, which can be good times, and those authors I'm sure would love to get reviews on fics they probably think the world forgot about.

I definitely see your point, but Domyouji/Goo JunPyo was written purposely as having faults (*COUGH*STALKINGISSUES*COUGH*). It's obvious he's supposed to be seen as pretty messed up. A lot of Twilight fans don't see Edward's issues because they're not addressed. JanDi/Makino knows he's a freak, Bella thinks Edward's perfect. I think that's a key difference.

Personally? I think it would have been incredibly OOC in about a thousand ways for Zuko to "dabble," particularly after the events of that season. Regardless of everything else, I think it would go against his personal moral code to mess around like that.

And sure it was meta-type teasing, but "cockteasing"? That implies that the episode suggested the pairings might actually change, which I don't think EIP did at all. If anything, it solidified the existing pairings even more.

I'm in the US so we haven't had the new eps yet...or maybe we have and I haven't been paying attention. But either way I have to say that I have 0 interest in this show with Marian dead. I really love Watchmen, but... I kinda agree with this a bit. It depends on what's being said, definitely (because some people really don't seem to "get" things that are clearly outlined in the text), but I find the allegorical and subtextual elements of Watchmen really blatantly obvious.

This isn't a criticism or an observation made to the diminish the work, but Alan Moore isn't John Ashbery dense. Like, bold letters, man. Bold.

I actually prefer it that way, because I get a stronger sense of the story from it.
