... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

I skip most episodes where Gene or Teddy is the central character. I can’t stand either of them and post season 3 their characterisations get worse as opposed to better like Bob and Linda.

Pedro Pascal shilling for a mobile game at the height of his career is so bizarre to me, it makes me love him more. And now I like to think that he just likes playing Merge Mansion as much as I do.

It was probably the money, but I like this thought more.

It's interesting how the people who insist that there is no bullying, and never has been bullying in their fandom (or their area of fandom) always seem to turn out to be the worst about bullying other fans.

I recently tried listening to Radiohead's album Kid A. I'd never listened to a Radiohead album before (individual songs, yes, but not a whole album).

I hated it.

I liked How To Disappear Completely enough that I might actually play it again on occasion, but apart from that one track my feelings ranged from "I don't really like this" to "I really don't like this."

S!B - Kid A is widely lauded by critics (and many music buffs) as one of the greatest albums of all time. I don't have extremely sophisticated taste in music, but I think I'm squarely in the middle-ground. I don't personally feel like I "just didn't get" the album, but I'm sure that's what the aforementioned critics and music buffs would say.

Over the pandemic, I learned about Theater of War, which invites actors to do truncated plays and readings, and they're free! I've gotten to see Oscar Isaac do the daddiest Oedipus, Jesse Eisenberg do a hilarious Creon from Antigone, a truly fascinating Philoctetes with Willem Defoe and Jason Isaacs, a reading of Susie King's memoir of her time as black nurse for the Union Army by Tracie Thoms, and I've see a bunch of theater folks I never wouldn't have known about with these productions.

It's supposed to be encourage open dialogue about the concerns facing us today, including the plight of nurses, refugees, climate change, police brutality, through these plays and readings and there's a discussion afterward.

I always skip it.

Fandom: The Old Kingdom, by Garth Nix

I have complicated feelings about Clariel being canonically ace.

Because on the one hand, explaining that someone's sexuality aligns them with the corrosive kind of magic that destroys worlds is skeevy as fuck.

On the other - riding around on a throne on a dragon's back was MAD COOL.

I've gotten so fed up with F!S's Call-Troll anon, and the TERF anons, that I just feel to demotivated to make Fandom Secrets anymore. That is it, that is the secret.

I want to like Chikn Nuggit, but I can't shake the feeling that it's trying too hard. Nothing about it or its characters feels organic, I suppose? Or non-engineered-to-be-the-most-appealing-to-marketing? I don't know, it's hard to explain.

I actually don't mind engaging in the YouTube comments. For some channels, the comments can be civil/enjoyable.

If Monolith Soft released a Xenoblade 3 sidegame featuring nothing but the adventures of Valdi and Fiona, I'd play it.

It's a shame they don't directly interact during the game; they seem like they'd really get along!

I think the largest contributing factor to enjoying the cultural masterpiece that is Cocaine Bear is having experienced Scifi Channel Original Movies in the 2000s.

(The second largest contributing factor is being me personally.)

I'm reading the abridged version of The Princess Bride, and honestly? I think the unabridged version sounds more interesting. Also, from his forewords William Goldman sounds like a whiny Willy Lomax from Death of a Salesman. Oh no, my wife is a psychologist and too stern with the maids, my ten year old son is too fat to date, and there's a pretty girl over there but I'm too balding and forty to be attractive to her, waaaah.

(No, I've never watched the movie.)

I don't want to sound ungrateful but
I particpated in a fandom fest lately;
the moderator made a point of reading and commenting every fic posted
that's dedication!! and I'm impressed!!
But.
Their comments made it painfully obvious that they didn't know the canon I wrote for and misread several of my takes and I rather have a hard time appreciating their compliments when they miss the point of what my characters are doing.
