Anyone here watched it? I just finished it and I know it was cancelled but my god that was a good one season. I'd love for there to be more, but I also feel like it wrapped up a lot and left in a satisfying place.

YES. I was so sad when I heard it had been cancelled. Stupid Netflix, grrr. But I agree, it wasn't a horrible place to leave it, I just wanted more.

Today. Holy fuck. First, took cat to vet for first arthritis shot. She freaked out, partly because it seems as if her left side is the sore side. We didn't know that before. It hurt too much. She howled and then hissed and then bit me. She's still mad at me and I'm so worried about my girl.

Then I got a check engine light on way home. Turns out I need new catalitic converter, which is going to cost over 1000. Also needed a belt and spark plug, but those were cheaper. I can't afford it right now, so going to have to hope my car survives until I can.

Then had bond hearing. Judge granted bond technically. But at 50k. I've never ever seen an immigration bond that high, even for people with criminal history, which my client does not have. It basically means there is no bond because family can't pay it. But we can't appeal. So fucked up. And this is for someone who came on a visa, applied to get a green card, did everything right. I just don't get it. Cruel.

Honestly, today makes me really wish I could still drink. Because I really, really want some alchohol. And I'm exhausted and probably going to have a night full of nightmares about my poor kitty.

I just can't with my fucking job. I am trying to find something else, but I am just not that good, my experience is a lot of shitty offices and I am in a field with a lot of competition and a lot of fucking LLMs.
Sometimes I think that my job is normal, but then one of my colleagues casually mentioned that she bought for their branch a printer because they needed it. Nope. This bloody shit show isn't normal.

Also I need therapy yesterday. It's not good to have so many phobias and anxieties. But 1. I need to find a decent therapist. And I hate choosing shirts at the shop because choice makes me tired 2. I really really need to change the job and I need to have some money for that.

Work stuff

I work at a lab, through some corporate shenanigans my lab and another lab have to harmonize our procedures and paperwork. Why? I don't fucking know. We have different goals, different equipment, different software programs, different skills and procedures.

Needless to say harmonization has been difficult! So what did our leadership do? Fire everyone at our lab who was in charge of anything so the other lab can just do it their way.

Fine enough, that's one way to cross something off your list. But my very goodness the other site is so frustrated when we keep having questions. And apparently it's disrespectful that we're even asking. But I have to ask! Because everyone who is in charge of anything has been fired! So there's no one to ask but this other lab!

So fuck it. If you're not going to train me I'll save the emails and do my best.

Yes I am looking for other work. I'm just not finding anything yet and I've been here so long I kind of want them to fire me for the severance.

I've been looking forward to housesitting, but I've been feeling stressed and extremely tired. For weeks I had been doing good working out about 5 days a week but this week I just feel so...not in the mood.

Weird but I lost my work badge and I was informed I have to wait a week before I can be issued a new badge. It's been a pain in my ass having to get to work early every day, head to security and ask for a day badge, and then go back to security to drop off the badge.
I wish they'd just issue me a new badge. Like, I won't be finding my badge any time soon. I'm pretty sure it's lost for good. A long time ago if I lost my badge it was replaced within minutes, why do I have to wait a week now???
Also, because the campus is no longer owned by the company I work for, I don't know who I can bitch to about this.

I won't even rant about my groceries this morning.

Loss/change of routine really fucks me up =(

Can't wait for the weekend so I can be alone in my sister's house with her mild mannered dog and just be.

At least I have access to a private shower for a few days =D

ICE's presence is really ramping up and desperate for numbers, and I'm terrified for my niece-in-law who's from Mexico and just had a baby. Sure, she's here on a legit work visa and married to an American but that's apparently meaningless to these fucks.

Yesterday's post had me thinking, what AUs do you hate?

I'm not a fan of vampire!AUs, they are just not my thing at all. Sentinel/Guide AUs always seem so boring.

But I HATE Hanahaki!AUs. They are just miscommunication to the extreme, which is a trope I can't stand.

Bathroom lightswitches

When you encounter a bathroom with the lightswitch on the outside of the room, do you ever just want to turn it off while someone is in there and leave it off?

I tried a couple of times as a child, but only flickered it. I did get a 'HEY' from the person inside, though.
