I always liked the fan theory that he had been trained hardcore about PR in the modern world and as soon as "Language" left his mouth he cringed internally so hard.

I also like the idea that the 'modern steve rogers' is nothing like himself because he's just on survival mode. One of my fave tropes back when I read MCU fic was Bucky coming back and being all "what the fuck are you on about?" and either telling everyone embarrassing/amazing Steve Rogers Is A Little Shit stories or Steve reverting to his natural state with someone who actually knows him around and everyone being shocked. Look, Captain America has a personality!

I kind of thought that maybe it was a reflexive thing after doing all those silly war bonds performances that he reverts to when he knows he's being scrutinized and feeling pressured to perform (in a different way from those performances but still).

I also don't think it would be implausible for him to use the crafted Captain America image as a cloak for uncertainty or as a tool to break tension.

Even in the late 70s, early 80s, guys in the military did not swear in front of females. My own grandfather, who would have been more Steve's father's generation, didn't swear period. And his sons, who were in the war, didn't swear in front of their sisters. Am I sure that Steve can swear like a sailor? Sure. Do I think that he had ideas about when swearing was inappropriate? Also sure.

I'm so surprised this is even a thing tbh. I was really into HS from ages 14-18 ish, then pretty much forgot it exists. Is the fandom still big??? None of my fandom friends seem to be into it these days. Might give it a watch for nostalgia's sake.

A while back, I got into kpop and I spent more money than I would like to think about on purchasing albums from groups I liked. I still have some albums for sentimental reasons, as well as photo cards.

I've never been much of a collector so the novelty wore of quick for me and I began to feel guilty about the environmental cost.

Which versions did you order? I'm watching an unboxing video rn out of curiosity and the Ceremony ver and Hooray ver have different contents, from photobooks to postcards, photocards and stickers. The songs on the CD are always the same, no matter the version. If you only recently got into kpop, then maybe you ordered not what you originally wanted on accident?

You're right. It's kind of sad that Frank could do all of that work, but not take that one step to say, well, I guess that is what it is, not my job to change anyone's mind about it, and pour his feelings into the occasional shout of "Ho-MER!" that would echo through the halls of the plant.

I still haven’t seen it, but I am so disappointed in the roles both Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans have ended up in lately.

(I think his acting skills are better regarded than hers, but I firmly believe she can do good work playing interesting characters too.)

I read a very brief description of the film and had worked up a much more interesting version in my head, before the trailer brought me back to reality.

Do you do this? I definitely do, but only for really weirdly specific things. For one of my favorite books I like to collect different covers/prints of it and sometimes in different languages too. I can't read the languages and the different covers don't change the content, but for some reason it makes me happy to have all the versions of a favorite thing.
