I'm really hyped for WoW player housing, but I'm afraid that Blizzard is going to put loads of paid items in their store, and I'm going to feel that FOMO, and either waste money or be resentful for missing out.

Oh they absolutely will, they already have housing items attached to the epic version of the new expansion. It’ll be a mix, some items in game, others from the tender store and then the paid items. My issue will be the price of the bought ones and how good they look vs the in game ones because that’s been an issue with their store mounts vs in game mounts for years now.

I don't know anything about Knights of Guinevere, but I think it's worth remembering that the artists who create popular media are very often not the people who make corporate marketing decisions regarding said media. And in fact, the artists who make the media often have very little say whatsoever in how that art is promoted and the means by which promotional materials are procured.

I know that Glitch does their merch on their own company FinalFinalProductions, but I was not able to find anything, in my very quick look tbf, about their sourcing, so fair question to ask.

That said, hardly the first anticapitalist media to still participate in capitalism to stay afloat. I can only hope Glitch has the good sense to try and be more humane.

I understand why incest ships disturb some people. I totally get that and respect people being bothered by it

However i never understood the anti-incest people who insist that if you ship an incest pairing you must want to do it with your own sibling. No?? Like. Writing a gay ship doesn't make me a gay man??

If I wrote a story where someone for their own in story reason killed their sibling , any reasonable person wouldn't automatically think "oh the author must want to kill their own sibling"

Hell the vn/video game "The Coffin of Andy and LeyLey is all about how dysfunctional and messed up the main characters and their relationship is, and how their relationship seems to end in tragedy in a majority of endings. How does anybody play the game and think "oh the author thinks incest is good?"

Secrets you don't want to make...

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.

I wish there was a dedicated place in fandom where I could go to participate in shipping wars. I don't want them poisoning general fandom spaces, obviously, but I'd genuinely like to be able to go somewhere and just argue my face off about how my ship is the bestest ship and how rival ships are boring and/or give me the ick. Not because I think it actually matters, or because I think one ship is objectively better than another, or because I think one ship is more moral than another. None of that. It's just that I would enjoy being able to argue vociferously about something I care enough to have strong feelings about, but that is ultimately extremely trivial and silly.
