You're far from alone in thinking that. Seems to be a pretty popular pairing, something for which I, for one, am very grateful.

Well, one of Paz's quotes if you get a poor affinity with her before you invite her into the Box is 'Over already?'. So yeah, I don't either.

Mind you, there's random generic male soldiers who have quotes which heavily imply they've slept with Big Boss, so maybe he's just putting it in anything at this point.

I totally understand the lack of fic; I'd be intimidated as hell by the quality of the show, if I were a writer. However, on the topic of a lack of pairings: the fact that Walt/Jesse isn't considered an obvious pairing makes me question everything I thought I knew about fandom. I don't ship it, but it shocks me that almost no one else does, either.

Why do people think fandom is all about fic?
I'm genuinely curious, because I never read or write fic at all and I still find myself overwhelmed with fannish activities in my fandoms.

Same here. I used to get all flaily and bouncy if I so much as saw a phone that ANY ONE of my family or friends has.

Completely missing the point, I know, but she looks like a Barbie doll in that picture. Barbie dolls, unrealistic as they may be, don't really look that good as far as female bodies go. Have you thought about looking at different kinds of "ideal" bodies besides just this one? Even Gaga herself looks physically different from one video to the next, I don't think it's a good idea to fixate on one idea so much.

I think that adding fanfic to an already perfect canon is sort of superfluous. No one can measure up. I feel the same way about Deadwood, The Prisoner, and Mad Men fandoms too.

Exactly. There's almost nothing about any character on Breaking Bad that hasn't been beautifully explained onscreen. Sure, I'd read a fic about Jesse after high school when he was getting into cooking, but even that's been adequately recounted on the show with his rehab/group meetings subplot.

Yeah, he does have that effect, doesn't he?

When John Lasseter took that job, it was his full intention to fix what he saw as a huge mess. Listen, I could go out in my back yard right now, mow the grass that is two feet tall, pull up the weeds that are overrunning the place and feel a sense of accomplishment. Would I think my back yard was better than the ones in Better Homes and Gardens? No, it'd still probably look far from perfect. Doesn't mean I wouldn't feel good about myself and proud that my yard looked better than it looks now. I think that's how Lasseter feels about Disney 2D animation, it's still not perfect but he's working to improve it.

I have a fantasy in which I randomly meet Charlie and Alex in England and we run around doing fun stuff all day. Is this pathetic? Possibly.

And here I thought Harry/Ginny was the most hated ship in HP fandom...I mean, I know most of fandom hates Ginny and absolutely loathes that H/G is canon...

I'm a total Kurtsie, and I normally get sad when I see Kurt hate but this is a completely unerstandable dislike. I sort of have it, but it's with colors/sounds/moements and it doesn't happen very often.
