I don't know what Takatsuki would want to be used.

This. Since Japanese doesn't have gendered pronouns, you can never really know they would want to be called anything but their physical gender unless they say so explicitly. It makes the discussions like these too awkward to come to a real conclusion, at least for me.

But, if you want to get food and shelter to people who need it, Medecins Sans Frontiers don't do that at all. I'm all for pimping your favourite charity, but why diss someone sending money to a charity that does what they want, rather than your favourite charity that does something completely different? Or shall I just say that the Cystic Fibrosis Trust does their job really well and efficiently, making good use of the money, so therefore people who want to give money to help Japan should give the money to that?

Believe me, I'm doing what I can. However, I cannot completely rewrite it, because the relationship (non-sexual) between those three characters is essential to the story.

Sorry, probably I have not been clear enough. :) Slash doesn't bother me per se, seeing how I'm a slasher myself. Other possible instances of traditional slash pairings (protagonist/antagonist, protagonist/best friend etc.) that I can see don't worry me a bit. It's only this possible threesome that does - and, sadly, it looks like it's the most solid possible ship despite the age difference between the characters involved. :) Somehow the characters managed to corner me on this one, despite the fact that I've never intended for this to happen.

Don't mention the yet non-existent readers. There is no fandom and no slash yet and probably there will never be. The novel might never get published for all I know. Still, this possible threesome bugs me big time. I can't stop seeing it and it drives me crazy.

I don't understand the draw of tumblr over lj at all. So you can post pictures. You can do that here too! And where's the discussion? The bonding?

And most importantly, where have all my fandoms gone? I swear, the moment they moved to tumblr, everyone stopped talking, stopped caring about each other. Some of them were quite big and it wasn't that noticeable a change but some of them were quite small and what went from meetups and hundreds of comments just chatting happily on lj turned into *Picture* *Repost x infinity*. How is that better?!

Personally, I'm waiting until we meet the actual strong female characters from the canon before I even contemplate complaining about how women are portrayed and such. 'cos come on, Molly's and Mrs Hudson's roles may be to be walked all over but so are Lestrade's and Anderson's and Dimmock's and Mike's and sure, Sally's a bit of a bitch to Sherlock but so's Anderson and really, the only people who haven't gotten the shortstick in terms of characterisation are Sherlock, John, and possibly Mycroft (I say possibly 'cos he's certainly creepy and powerful and all but if he anything more? I mean, in the actual series, not fic. I <3 me some fic!Mycroft almost as much as I <3 fic!Lestrade...) But we've not seen the best candidate for strong female role (Irene) yet and we're only three episodes in so I really don't understand what people are getting so upset about.
