Fuck you sideways. If someone from your f-list had exposed a locked post of yours you'd be rallying your mob of ass-lickers and out for blood. You're the fucking hypocrite.

I don't believe for a second you wouldn't kick someone out on their ass who said anything to you directly. For all you whine about people being cowardly, no one's actually dumb enough to believe that's how you roll.

[identity profile] tanz-fanatika.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
People who deal with problems directly are more respected than those who don't. There's at least a chance then that things can work out. But if you don't even try to communicate, then there's no chance.

(Anonymous) 2011-05-05 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
This is an absolute and blatant lie. People who do go to you directly, to your face, and still get treated like shit. There is absolutely no way to approach you that is EVER treated with respect. You can lie and be a two faced hypocrite all you want, but you will realize at some point that you've run out of lies and no one's been believing them for a long time.

[identity profile] tanz-fanatika.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't aware you knew everything I've ever said and done and thus could make a statement like this.

Believe what you want, honey.

(Anonymous) 2011-05-05 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
Having had enough personal interaction with you, I know it's more truth than anything you have ever said.

[identity profile] tanz-fanatika.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
No, no, dear. You "think." You don't "know." Only I could know that.

(Anonymous) 2011-05-05 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
There's no way for you to "know" anything, you clearly lie to yourself.

some of us know you better than you'd think

(Anonymous) 2011-05-05 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
And that first part? Violating the first rule of the friends lock? You're just totally down with that?

Watch your back. They'll do it to you when given the chance.

[identity profile] tanz-fanatika.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Except that I'm up front with people and I don't hide behind the f-lock. I don't act all sweet just to stay in comms and then bitch behind their backs.

(Anonymous) 2011-05-05 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
if you think this is about comms, you're incorrect. breaking a f-lock is more than just "pretending to be sweet" or what the fuck you seem to think it is. it's a sense of trust. from as simple as not having your privacy out and as serious as people's lives on the line.

and you don't mind violations of other people's trust as long as they're not against you and you have an excuse to feel the victim. that's disgusting. you're disgusting.

you sicken me in ways that i can't put into words.

[identity profile] tanz-fanatika.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, so then you also have an issue with the people who played informant.

This isn't life and death. It's just fandom bullshit. People bitched about me and got caught. Their penalty? Getting banned from a comm. SO not that serious. Their lives have gone on. Shouldn't everyone else's?

you know, people have every right to want to be in a comm because they enjoy the other members or are part of the fandom, but still have complaints about moderators or other members. bitching in private is a decent way to let off steam and get to a more rational place to deal with the problem.

i mean, this is the kind of thing people do about their workplaces or schools to keep from going crazy there. for all anyone knows, if that flocked post hadn't been exposed, nothing would have happened and you'd have continued to have a sweet community member, and what's wrong with that? as long as the bitching doesn't spread outside the flock? but that person's trust was violated, what could very well have been a one-off rant or whatever was made public, and now you've proved yourself to be a world-class bitch.

[identity profile] tanz-fanatika.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and I know people that have gotten fired for bitching about their jobs. There's always the possibility of consequences when you go behind people's backs.

As for the bitch thing, proved that long ago. I don't know why any of you think these names are going to hurt me.

Just asking:

Since when is friends-locking on some kind of honor-system? I get the idea behind it, but.... Jesus, you're talking as if violating it is some sort of unforgivable sin.
Curse you, Lori! Violating the first rule of THE ALMIGHTY friends lock! Curse you!
People talk about things. Friend-locking your post does NOT protect you from their opinions and violating it is not that big a crime/deal as you present itself to be.

(Anonymous) 2011-05-05 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
you know what's also respectable. not banning people for posts that you shouldn't even know about because someone told you about it. wait no, it's fine when you do it but other people need to step properly?

but that would be too much like right. and you don't do right.

the dolly gods don't like ugly.

Just came here to say this- nobody has any reason to lick Lori's ass (although that's a rather nicely alliterative statement). She doesn't have particularly special that anyone wants. She doesn't ask people to tell her when she's being talked about. They come to her because they care about her. Wouldn't you want people to tell you that you're being badmouthed by someone you thought you respected, or are you accustomed to having two-faced friends?

And she's not lying when she says she doesn't bitch about fandom in her personal journal. Seriously, there is absolutely nothing juicy going on in that journal that any of ~you~ would be interested in. So no hypocrisy here.

1. There have always been sycophants who bow and scrape around a BNF in the hopes of picking up some kind of favor/shine/e-peen.

2. The person in question wasn't on the mod's f-list, and wasn't her friend, so that's a strawman.

3. If I ran a community I wouldn't give two shits what people, even members, were saying about me in their own private journals. I would only care about how the comm was running. People don't like me, that's their business. The fuck do I care as long as the comm is fine?

[identity profile] rhapsodyinpink.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
1. Yeah, but Lori doesn't give out favors or anything of the sort (and I've been on her f-list for six years now so trust me on this one)

2. Not a strawman, but related to the topic at hand. What's conveniently left unmentioned in this secret is that this person was a member of several of Lori's communities and respectfully interacted with her on a regular basis. Which is why Lori was surprised to find out that said user had a major bone to pick with the way the (multiple) communities were running. But she never said anything directly to her and instead chose to bitch about her. Lori's always been pretty transparent about wanting to hear directly if people don't like the way a comm is being run. We even made a post in the M_H comm asking people to come to one of us mods directly with their concerns. And some people did.

This user didn't, however, and instead created a post complaining about Lori and the comm, without EVER sharing any of these thoughts with Lori, but still benefiting from the information provided there. So Lori banned her for not being upfront and honest. Which she has every right to do.

[identity profile] allicapri.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
Personal. Business. Is. Not. Community. Business.

She's the owner. She can do whatever the fuck she wants. Doesn't make it good practice, or good for the community. All it was good for was boosting her own ego by making sure she's only surrounded by yes-men.

[identity profile] tanz-fanatika.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
Honey, there are 429 members. I could not possibly make sure they were all "yes-men."

I didn't know that 'Talking about people on your journal' = 'rallying a mob of ass-lickers'. Ever taught that maybe some people behave the way they do because they want to? Because they like Lori as a person and want to help her out?
Oh, wait, befriending her automatically equals ass-licking in your book. Because, y'know, who can possibly like someone like HER.
*Rolls eyes*
Oh well, if that's so, there ARE worse asses to lick.
