Not to mention BJR loves all of the villains in this fandom a little too much to give a damn about whatever it was Petrel did to Silver.

As a side note, refresh my memory. What was it that Petrel did that the others didn't do? I'd look it up on Bulbapedia, but that requires effort.

Petrel made Silver go Blind and suffocated him with Golbat poison in Pokemon Special.
And after that he physically abused him during all the pokemon special HeartGold/SoulSilver arc.

Huh. Okay, yeah, that is a dick move. I'm trying to think of an evil leader who pulled something worse in that canon, but besides Pryce's habit of kidnapping and brainwashing children using legendary birds, my mind's drawing a blank.

Considering this plus his childhood plus the entire Taken For Granite thing, maybe Kusaka just doesn't like Silver?

Not excusing Petrel, of course. Just saying if anything, this makes me feel rather sorry for Silver, not inclined to watch Petrel suffer. But my reactions are kinda weird, so.

Wow. That seems wildly OOC compared to how he was in the games. That seems more of a Proton thing to do (provided Proton really IS the cruelest Rocket and isn't just trying to talk big).

Use of Sugimori art here is sort of misleading since that art=games.

okay, went onto bulba. all i can think is the secret maker is referring to petrel pretending to be giovanni- since it's hinted giovanni is silver's daddy.

either that, or they're referring to events from the manga? which is kinda confusing, since that's his game art.

Two--is this going to be a thing again where anons call me out for anything that even remotely falls into my areas of interest? Because it only makes you guys look like witch hunters, and really that only makes me look good, and I know you guys aren't out to make me look good since you despise me for things that happened over six years ago that didn't even have anything to do with fandom. So for the good of us all, cut it out. You're just dicks with nothing else to do but try and sniff me out in places I'm not.

To save you some time, I didn't submit anything for next week either. Come to think of it, I think the last thing I submitted was about how Chopped made me ship two chefs despite not liking RPF, and that was months ago.

I didn't say it was a good reason, or even a logical one. Just that the first thought towards you tends to be something along the lines of 'Oh god, here's a major wanker/cause of wank!' and they react on that.

Plus, like the anon below said, like it or not you have achieved something of meme-like status so there isn't much you can do but ride it out...just like Dethtoll did when saying 'Hi Dethtoll' was a meme here.

Still, Dethtoll made more sense since the things would happen here. This is for things that have only vague tangents to do with interests I happen to have, including things that've never led to wank. Like this--I've never been involved in a Team Rocket wankfest.

The differences between this and the Hi Dethtoll meme is that only a handful of people found the Hi Dethtoll meme funny to begin with and that most people around here find it easier to be accepted if they get involved in PC-related arguments as opposed to bandy about memes. The problem BJR is facing at the moment lies in the fact that Pokémon fans either hate her, get pissed off whenever she appears, or adore the bandwagon because it makes them feel accepted (usually the latter), so they consider bashing her to be a "safe" subject because they're under the impression that chances are, a bunch of other people would jump in and support them.

Tl;dr, Dethtoll could outlast his meme because not that many people thought it was funny enough to keep it going to begin with. BJR doesn't have that option because there's a lot of people (in this fandom and sometimes in general, the latter in the case of anyone who brings up Hurricane Katrina) who are too stupid to know she's an old meme.

Although in their defense, the Pokémon fandom doesn't really produce that much meme material. The other BNFs in this fandom are pretty boring in that all they really do is sit around and pretend to be whiny teenagers. If another BNF managed to say something immensely ridiculous that didn't have to do with their website and/or fan entitlement relating to their website, I'm sure we'd forget about BJR and get all over the new shit.

You know, despite the fact that I'd rather jam my right hand into molten steel than have a tea party with you, I have to agree that it doesn't make sense to me to bring you up here. It's a lot like saying every bit of Pokémon wank has to do with Serebii. It's wildly mind-numbing and whiny, and it feels like they're really trying hard to be funny because they think you're a universally acceptable target thanks to the number of people who either hate you or magically get pissed off whenever you're brought up in the conversation.

That's really most of what's wrong with this fandom in general. People are more apt to start drama than get along (probably because this fandom has always been like that on a level, so now everyone has this stupidly elitist or otherwise delusional mentality going on on one level or another), which is really fucking hilarious if you think about it because when you get right down to it, most of the canon preaches about teamwork and friendship, am I right? But you can't really tell anyone anything like "grow the fuck up," even if you phrase it ever so politely.

And I know you probably don't care and would probably not even remotely take this as an explanation to anything; I'm just venting at you because this fandom pisses me off so hard sometimes. I could just vent about it on pokanon, but honestly, that place fucking sucks now. :|

Anyway, the point. The point is, yeah, they're pretty much just mentioning you because you've achieved a meme-like status in this fandom, so they automatically assume that mentioning you has the same effect as posting a lolcat (i.e., that it would get a particular effect, regardless of context or audience). Except they don't realize that you're more along the lines of a Chuck Norris joke in that no one gives a crap and that it's not cool to do it if the topic isn't specifically about you.
