Being interested in anything remotely interesting make you a pariah at my school. Cartoons were not interesting.

When people hate you for being interesting, I think so.

But less hated because cartoons may be for babies, but they aren't something that uses brain-power.

Being remotely academic make you an outcast in my school, and strategy games use brains. Cartoons don't.

The chess club is the lowest form of life at my school because they were such NERDS. I can only imagine what my classmates would think about a complicated game from a completely different culture. :(

I never said non-HNG fans would think the OP cool for playing. I just said they wouldn't think him some huge anime geek, which most people tend to think worst than, y'know, just a geek. Haha.

And really? 'Cause it was the exact opposite in my school(s). Well, ok, the chess club really wasn't considered "cool" or anything, but no one had a negative opinion of it. And if they did, it wasn't voiced a lot. A lot people-- even non members (like me!) would hang out at the club room all the time to play. It was popular without being popular.

The anime club, on the other hand...

...I'm sickened by the fact such a movie exists...

Granted, the film that majorly influenced this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sal%C3%B2,_or_the_120_Days_of_Sodom) sounds so bad it's beyond nauseous but still...

Yeah, it is possible to get them earlier. (Sorry you have to deal with that, BTW.) I think I am already starting to get them, then again, I have a lot of trouble with circulation and am at a higher risk of getting blood clots in my legs so that's probably why.

I was just saying, for most people anyway, your legs are going to look their best when you're young so wearing a short skirt to show them off because you're proud of how they look isn't slutty

Actually, it states it is sad he won't. They say nothing about it in general. It's cool if you don't want kids but, man, all you of who have chose not to be parents are trying to make an "example" of this secret and looking like idiots. It's not about you.

Hehehehe. Sorry, the wording made my mind go to a naughty place. When did he say that, though? About it being nothing special? I don't remember ever seeing that.

Because adults are older than kids? Do you really want an eleven year old in a Wire or Sopranos fandom? Adults getting in touch their inner child is inherently less disturbing than children getting introduced to adult themes.

A lot of people I know didn't like Totoro but I think having younger sisters enhanced my enjoyment of that movie (not that I think I wouldn't have liked it otherwise)

It's perfecty understandable that you personally think it would be nice if Gackt had chosen to have kids. It doesn't mean you don't respect his choice, you just think the what if would have been cool. I get that and it's totally understandable.

Considering I don't have an ex and that the only time I got blindingly drunk, I ended up falling asleep, yeah, I am a TOTAL retard when it comes to drinking. :P

Oh, and then there's the fact that I met my current boyfriend at a con, both of us were stumbling drunk, and we DIDN'T end up in the sack. As I stated above several times, the things like chess club were the worst level of hated nerd in my school.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight so long as you're doing it for you and not to please society, but why not work on your confidence at the same time? People who are overweight and have low self esteem think "oh everything will be better if I lose weight", but the self esteem issues won't all dissipate when you lose weight. A lot of people still feel fat even though they're down to a size that wouldn't be considered fat by most people, because they never developed any confidence.

You can wear cute clothes like that at just about any size. Why not go for it now? Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you're beautiful as you are now. That doesn't mean you can't go ahead and work on losing weight, too, but it'll make you so much happier if you build confidence along with it.

Uh, being tall makes it easier to look skinny, not harder.

And asian people who grow up westernised, in western countries tend to be just as obese as the rest of you lot.

Yeah, the relationships and dynamics between Sanzo & Goku and Kotetsu & Karina are so similar! Only, not at all.

You know, in a way you're right. Sanzo found Goku when he was twelve and more or less raised him, so the father/child relationship is much, much stronger between Sanzo and Goku than it is between Kotetsu and Karina. Sure, the physical age differerence is a lot smaller, but Goku acts like he's ten and Sanzo acts like he's fifty, so the mental age difference is a lot more obvious between them than it is between Kotetsu and Karina. So really, Sanzo/Goku is squicky in a completely different way, especially since Sanzo acts kinda abusive towards Goku most of the time.

Still doesn't mean that it's less squicky, though.
