Good response. We were all "desantized" by one medium or another. Before internet porn there was romance novels - that's what first initiated me, before I really got into the hardcore stuff online. WHEE. But I personally call troll on anyone who calls all the (slash/yaoi) smut of fandom "disgusting."

Well, I've already been discovered by my friends earlier, so... it's not a secret because I dislike people knowing I like the game. Everyone who knows me knows I love it.

It's a secret because I wanted to say it somewhere that I don't think I need to take crap because of it, and I didn't want the wank that telling the people who give me crap because of it would cause.

9. You shouldn't be ashamed. FF7 wasn't the first FF or the first RPG I ever played, and it's not my favorite, but I still enjoy it and just wish the graphics weren't so damn ugly enjoy all the new material coming out for it. You should, in fact, be proud.

You actually played the game. In this day and age, with the sheer number of loud "fans" who haven't actually played the games who have opinions on it/write prettyslash for Sephiroth's clones because they saw the movie and that's good enough? You're a rarity.

13. Rock on. Any fan who looks only at the two-dimensional aspect of the character presented on paper and thinks, "He's cool because he's emo" or "she's boring because she's happy" is a lame. fan.

I do understand people bashing FFVII fans who haven't played the game. Reading spoilers will only get you so far - I can't imagine how people could think that they know the story of a game that long just from some plot description, or worse, from the AC DVD's recap of the game. That thing made no sense.

I'll confess to being shallow and really, wholeheartedly desiring a remake with updated graphics. No amount of love for that game can fully overcome the fact that I can count the polygons on the characters.

9. Hey, FFVII is still my favourite game in the series alongside IX. I don't see any shame in liking it. Besides, it's the fandom that really sucks.
