People who don't cover their tits occasionally have the absurd hope that people don't think with their cocks. (also people will stare no matter what shirt you're wearing, especially when you have huge tits; nothing hides huge tits, and most "omg wear a turtleneck or something god" people don't understand that those shirts EMPHASIZE the tits more...)

This. I have a large chest. Some shirts look like I'm trying to show them off or whatever when I just want to wear a normal shirt.

People could be all "cover it up" but easier said than done, and even still why should I be resigned to the baggiest of shirts?

It's pretty difficult to find cute shirts that fit and don't look like I'm trying to show off my chest. Like the above anon mentioned shirts without cleavage to visually break my chest make my breasts look even larger. And if I wear a shirt that is loose enough to disguise my breasts I look frumpy, unbalanced, or pregnant and my legs disproportionate.

'm tired of people telling me to wear shirts with ruffles on the front to hide my boobs. Adding more stuff to the area does not help and I don't know why people think it does.

And to be honest just having large breasts is enough to make people think you look slutty and easy. I get hot in the summer and dudes are going to stare no matter what I do to my breasts so if I want to wear a tank I'm going to without worrying people on the internet think I'm doing it for attention.

but I think anon (the one above the one you replied to) meant in the case of things like boobwindows which are just obviously designed to showcase them. maybe not, but that's what I got out of it..if not he is an asshole lol

Original anon. a) I'm a lady, and b) I meant all shirts. Tank tops, v-necks, even things with boobwindows (seriously why was that made into a real-lady-clothes-thing... it was bad enough when they let wolves tear holes into the backs of our shirts, now they're doing it to the front? I don't want to wear a camisole all the time!!)

I actually left a job because my manager would give me "inappropriate clothing" lectures once a week. We had uniforms. My options were super tight around my chest or shoulders that came down to my elbows. Neither option was acceptable to my manager, and they weren't paying me enough to hire tailor.

Agreed. I had bosses at my last 3 jobs that would only look at my tits when they talked to me. I was wearing t-shirt that were appropriate sized. (no boob windows nothing) Honestly, Straight and Bi-sexual men stare at tits even if they are covered.

I will admit, I would stare at those tits, too. Hot damn girl...

I agree in general with this statement, especially when it comes to cleavage because sometimes I'm not TRYING to look "slutty", it's just that clothes fit me differently

but

when it comes to this specific character and her costume, I think having a boob window where there's a HOLE CUT OUT TO SPECIFICALLY EXPOSE CLEAVAGE makes it sort of impossible to not notice, that's like wearing assless chaps and complaining when everyone stares at your ass. It's stupid

I have big boobs and pretty much anything I wear emphasises them. But that's why I don't wear clothes with a cut-out for them. Because that's designed to emphasise them.

Yes. It's also a uniform that she chose, not an outfit that someone else made her wear or something like an evening gown where cleavage-exposure might be expected and practicality not a concern.

Furthermore, earlier versions of this costume did not have a boob window (although sometimes there was a scoop-neck) so it's not like the whole ensemble just falls apart without the boob window.

I think she might have a new costume in the New 52? I pretty much only read Batfamily titles, so I dunno.

There is staring that you choose to do and there is staring that just happens. I try to be a polite person, but if I saw someone wearing a boob window? Clothing with holes is eye-catching, especially if boobs are involved because they're a body part that you don't expect to see in public even if you have them yourself. Sometimes your "wait, did I just see what I thought I saw?" reaction is quicker than your "I shouldn't be staring, I might make her feel bad" consciencey thoughts.

I assume from the previous response to someone, you're thinking I go around with a boob window all the time. Rest assured I don't. However, as I said it doesn't matter WHAT I wear, everyone will be looking at my boobs.

My point being that it shouldn't be an absurd hope that someone might not stare at my boobs. I shouldn't have to wear three shirts just to cover up my cleavage that I have zero control over, because THINK OF THE CHILDREN as well as PEOPLE ARE PERVERTED. I should be able to walk around wearing whatever the hell I want without the threat of being eye-molested, or worse.

It's sad and pathetic that I do have to hope against hope that even with a tank top, camisole, and top shirt, people won't stare at me for having female mammary glands.

Yep this. I have huge tits myself and the only thing that makes them not appear as large is if I wear a big baggy sweater. Which is kind of impractical when you live in the tropics.

Isn't there a difference between "this woman has nice breasts and cleavage" and "this woman is about 3 seconds away from bursting out a nipple"?
I would try hard and probably succeed at not staring at the first, but DD breasts 75% exposed by a boob window would take a bit of practice to get used to.
Not trying to stir the pot, but clothing that looks like it's about to fall off is just... really sexy. I don't put cleavage/boobs into that category, and I do sympathize with women with larger breasts who get shit about them.

Then maybe you should try reminding yourself that those 'really sexy' breasts are also attached to a human being that you should do this little thing called 'respect'? Staring is rude regardless of what the other person is wearing, and frankly? I find it amazingly uncomfortable when a guy won't stop staring at my boobs. [I also feel like the guy doesn't even see me as a *person* - and considering that happens even when I do 'cover up'? This behavior is something of a problem.]
