Number 7...you're not alone...
that went through my mind when I saw those two and I would SO draw that for you if you'd let me D:

Dear sweet jebus on the pogostick are you serious?! I think I would die of love for you! @_@ ♥

I reccomend you read this. (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/43087945/)

Written by a very good and also talented friend of mine doing work through Tokyopop.

I used to be like you, too once until I got my head out of my ass and started bothering to give things a chance and READ.

[identity profile] creatore-magico.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
4. I'm not as mad about it as you are but I feel I have to agree. Just because Tokyopop published it, doesn't mean it's manga. Seeing disney's comics in the manga section, really is saddening. T_T And things like 'princess Ai' ... it's by Cortney Love... just, no. ^^;;;

8. I feel excatly the same way. I've been playing Zelda since forever... My first one was the NES version, and every game since then has really touhed my heart. It means so much to me too, and... yeah, like you say, hard to put into words. ♥ But I second the thank you.

14. It's so tracic. T_T However, in the short time they were together... I totally agreed.

22. Yessir. It can be kind of scary sometimes. ;_;

#5, RPing account. Mierda lo que me importa

[identity profile] aprometer.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 06:53 am (UTC)(link)

SadoIchi's hot. Not to mention they have more chemistry going on than most of the other pairings.

Besides EVERYONE wants a Latin Lover. Preguntame a mi =D

[identity profile] allira-dream.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
CHAD IS WHAT WILL BRING ME BACK TO BLEACH ONE DAY. Just. GUH. AND AMEN. I ship that SO HARD. For my brief stay in Bleach I kept wondering where all the Chad/Ichigo was DD=

[identity profile] aprometer.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just waiting for KT to get back to Chad to go back to the Manga. Screw Grimmjow and his kitty. I WANT MOAR MEXICAN NAO!

[identity profile] zidane.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
5. I ship both! I prefer IchiHime, but for the life of me I don't understand why there isn't more support for IchiChad. Or just Chad in general.

17. Wait...what?! I can't wrap my head around reading Tsubasa unless you're a fan of CLAMP in general. I get excited about them hopping worlds so I can see who pops up next. Okay, really I'm hoping and yet slightly dreading that Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu will show up again. Hoping because MKR is still the CLAMP manga closest to my heart, and yet dreading because the manga had a happy ending and I don't want the Magic Knights dragged into more angst D:

22. So agree on this, although I have some mixed feelings about the swastika itself. I recognize that it has been irredeemably perverted in the West, but it's not a universal symbol of hate. In the context of fascist/militaristic uniforms, however, it's quite wrong.

6...

[identity profile] rushikayu13.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I couldn't disagree more.

As has been previously stated, the Battle Royale fandom has very few BNF's, if we have them at all. Also -and this is my own personal opinion here- the BR fandom is possibly the best fandom that I've ever written in. Okay, the roleplay comm that I'm in has occasional massive arguments, but they're nothing like some of the 'wars' in other fandoms that I've been in. But most of the time, the people are nice, unorthodox pairings are given feedback, there are no trolls using AIM speak in the middle of fanfiction and any Mary Sues or NPC's are dealt with extreme prejudice.

Where are the secrets complaining about the intake of fanbrats swamping our fandom after the American remake comes out?

Re: 6...

[identity profile] victorien.livejournal.com 2007-08-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
I thought the remake rights were refused, so they were making their own version! Was New Line finally able to buy the actual BR rights? D:

[identity profile] dropsofgleam.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
5. It's fine to like Ichigo/Chad better, and it's even better yto ship both Ichigo/Chad and Ichigo/Orihime. Both are my fav Ichigo pairings. ;D <3

[identity profile] merboo.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually a swastika is used as a symbol in many religions (mostly hinduism) and was never intended as a symbol of hate. The Nazis took it and used it in their hate campagin, but in it's most basic use? Not a symbol of hate in the least.

Re: 22

[identity profile] valkyriur.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
...what you said. You got in before me. :)

#22

[identity profile] valkyriur.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
#22, a swastika is not a symbol of hate. Hitler made it that way. Before then it was a religious symbol, and even today it's a religious symbol to that group.

[identity profile] daphhime.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
5. Chad is pretty awesome. Not big on the Chad/Ichigo ship, but he still doesn't get the love he deserves. :(

10. LOL stupd sexy Flanders! (I know, not the first one to say this...couldn't resist! XD)

21. Ugh, I get the same thing in a fandom I'm in...that's even older than Doctor Who and a kid's cartoon for christsakes! D:

14.

[identity profile] chickybee32.livejournal.com 2007-08-06 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Me too. It's hot & sexy and it's been the first het or canon pairing in years that have made my girl-parts tingle.
ext_389208: (Whore... please.)

Ooh, I agree. But I think the thing that gets me, is that most American-mangaka have SUCH a hard time keeping with artistic continuity. If they applied to draw for/create a series under Marvel or DC Comics, they'd never have made it.

On a side note: I recently saw the front cover for a manga (or so I thought!) that had a picture of MOTHER-FUCKING DAVID BOWIE AS THE GOBLIN KING, done by the same artist of "Alichino". I open it up, and it's... not what I expected. AT ALL. Then I read the cover more closely, and discovered that they only hired out Kouyu Shurei to draw the cover, while a vastly sub-par artist drew the actual series. I was so disappointed.

1. Why do you hate FFXII?

2. I slash anybody with Ichigo that isn't Rukia.

[identity profile] eibii.livejournal.com 2007-08-06 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Awww, 20! This icon's just for you. As far as I know, there is a small but ardent following for the Colonel! You should totally post your 'fic and see. I'd read it. :D ♥

You fucking retard. Obviously no one else has ever had to move every year! Didn't you know that all children in military families died before the Internet was invented?

The fact is that you're so goddamn spoiled that you have never once suffered anything of any consequence. If you had a single bit of perspective you would realize that, hey, friends and family and doing well in school and getting a good job and being successful is more important than the motherfucking Internet.

Shut the fuck up and get a life. You aren't a tragic heroine.

You could also kill yourself.

[identity profile] lady-nuriko.livejournal.com 2007-08-06 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
17) OMG! I thought I was the only person who can't stand when people who "love" Tsubasa havn't read CLAMP's other manga! THANK YOU!

19)YAY for Gargoyles fandom! I will go to the Gathering one day. (Insert rant aout season 2 part 2 needing DVD release here)

[identity profile] yummycoffee.livejournal.com 2007-08-06 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
4. Pft, you just don't want to adapt to the new ideas associated with these words. "Manga" is seen more as a specific art style now instead of being interpreted by it's literal English translation. Just as "comic books" are synonymous with Marvel and DC, who publish the more realistic, Western style of sequential art (that more often than not involve muscular people with super powers).

I get the feeling you only think this way because literal authenticity is important to you. So, do you only think Mexican food tastes best when made by real Mexicans? Cause yeah, they can probably make you some delish Mexican food, but their dishes won't be any less authentic if they cook Italian or French or Chinese or Filipino or whatever the fuck cuisine you're in the mood for.

At the risk of sounding like a total noob or something, I have to ask what these "rules" are that people keep including in their secrets. What exactly are they? Who wrote them and where can I find them?

Re: Number Ten

[identity profile] lemirage-bleu.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
The Rules Of The Internets. Check Encyclopedia Dramatica. And possibly be glad that you don't know what they are for you won't know where they came from and won't have had your brain degraded into something that just doesn't give a shit any more.

12. And I hope no-one ever does because one of my heads of my school had the surname Payne and I will never get over the connotations of that.

5 - YES, YES, YES!

22 - depends on the swastika...it was a Hindu symbol long before the "National Socialists" picked it up. it was featured prominently in many churches and all sorts of places long before the 1900s, much less WWII. if it had been a cross instead, would you still be angry? or the crescent and star which symbolizes Islam? personally, I don't even like talking about the Holocaust. but that doesn't mean I think swastikas are evil just because Hitler used them - fasces aren't evil just because Mussolini used them, etc. etc.
