The boobs are fine in my book. I'm more disturbed by her head being bigger than her waist. ~~Yes I know most animation is like this but all I can think of is compressed ribs.~~

One of these days I wish she would go, "Screw it. I'm fighting crime in sweats today." Because that would still be in character and it would be the most practical superhero costume ever.

I like Peej's original costume the best, mostly because that had the most regal-looking cape.

But I have no problems with the boob window. Honestly, I was more annoyed at the clumsy attempts to 'explain' it than anything else.

I'm going to be honest. I don't think I would mind the boob window so much if men had similar "pec windows" as often as women.

At least, I think so. It hasn't happened so I don't know for sure.

I like this secret best today, if only because the term 'boob window' made me smile.

I did too. Though it's a touch big in that image*. If it was such a big deal they could have just left it out, As mentioned the new one is shit.

With you, OP. It was something she had that nobody else did. It was her, and she rocked it. Sure, it was a little sexist and objectifying, but Peej was amazing and awesome and that was what mattered to me. And she knew the window was ridiculous.

I miss her. She became my heroine of choice in the year before the reboot (her last two issues before the reboot, especially. The convention issue and her brilliant, amazing final hurrah to save EVERYONE at the very last). :(

The boobs are a lot more annoying than the window. They usually don't even resemble real-life boobs. If I try to picture what they look like under the costume, my mind supplies brain-melting images of hideously deformed crystallized tumors with elephant-hide-consistency areolas.

It was so much better than the costume she has now! The new one just looks tacky.

Although if I recall correctly, wasn't there a comic where they tried to give an in-universe reason for the boob window and the reason was something like "THIS HOLE IN HER COSTUME REPRESENTS HER ANGST AND INNER SADNESS BLAH BLAH BLAH STUPID MELODRAMA"? Because that was ridiculous.

I miss the boob window. And I'm one of the first people to get pissed off at blatant objectification of women in superhero comics. But Karen rocked it.

The short version I tend to repeat it: it was fun, silly, sexy, and a little bit vulgar, not unlike Peeg herself.

...also, I fucking hate her new costume's weird imbalanced, off-center "P" over one boob. Give me the boob window any day!

Personally, I prefer Power Boy's "Boob-Window".

The only reason I disliked it is how bad it is for flying. That boob window? Talk about WIND RESISTANCE.

Aesthetically I like it, but when it comes to outfits people have to fight and move around in I always get uncomfortable if it seems inconvenient. And man, I already get nervous while I'm swimming because I think my boobs might fall out, so a big ol' boob window like that gives me second-hand discomfort.

I wish a super heroine would just say screw it to the low cut costume tops, boob windows, and boob pockets and just fight topless. Idk why being bare-chested makes me less uncomfortable than the revealing outfits, but it would be great anyway.

There's reasons to like the boob window OTHER THAN PURE MISOGYNY you know. Maybe cos, you know, some people find it fun, pleasant and sexy to look at? And some of them aren't even men.

But apart from that matter, women in comics do seem to get saddled with the impractical fighting costumes (and often ridiculously unrealistic anatomy, Liefeld aside), because it's less for them about fighting and more about what they look like. And men usually aren't put on the same level of fantasy wish-fulfilment sexy. And that is a double standard, cos, you know, an awful lot of comics written by straight men.

Sometimes I really like the boob window, under an artist who has some realistic sense of anatomy and physics. But it's so hit and miss that you end up with inexplicably missing nipples and shit. That's the only stuff that bothers me.

The boob window is FINE if it's not ridiculously oversized and if the artist understands how boobs work, with bonus points given when PG is drawn with the physique she is meant to have, which is buff as SHIT.

Unfortunately, about 80% of artists seem to fail on these counts.

I kind of like it too, I just think the way they tried to explain it was pretty dumb.

At least the old costume was iconic, and a friend of mine put it best when they said "it was classic cheesecake"

What I have a problem with is the fact that her boobs are apparently supposed to be joined (I hate when artists break the outlines there, it looks freaky).

Wow, I came here expecting a lot of "The boob window is terrible and misogynistic and just another method of objectification of women in comics" but instead I got... a lot of people loving that they can easily stare at a superhero's tits in a costume that doesn't make sense.

I feel like I've been supremely trolled. Now I'm just disappointed in everyone.
