Is the little girl in this pic the daughter? Because she looks like a zombie. Killing zombies is okay in my book. And that lady looks bad ass. With very pretty skin.

That's what I was thinking too. If the little girl is a zombie and there is no cure, then killing her is the humane thing to do no matter how much her dad pleads.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
She's a zombie but she wasn't dangerous (the Governor had her in a straightjacket). There was no reason to kill her besides Michonne being out for blood.

Yes there was. SHE WAS A ZOMBIE.

A zombie that posed no threat.

All zombies are threats. Have you never watched a zombie film?

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
How is a little girl zombie in a straightjacket a threat to anyone?

If there's something all zombie movies have taught me, is that there's no zombie more dangerous than a little girl zombie.

I would've killed her in sight, even if her dad was the nicest, most incredible guy in the planet.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
a zombie has a mouth. a zombie has rotting limbs that could easily make the straight jacket useless. a zombie has legs.

zombies will do anything and everything they can to try and get a bite. unless a zombie has no legs, no arms, no jaw, it is a threat. and even then you might as well kill it.

She has a mouth. She can bite. She might get out of the straighjacket.

But the simplest answer? SHE'S A ZOMBIE AND SHE'S STILL MOVING.

Doesn't look like she was gagged. She could bite.

Besides, keeping a sufferer of an unknown disease out of quarantine is dangerous to absolutely everyone.

Wow you are really set out to hate this fictional character in a fictional tv show that is literally ABOUT KILLING ZOMBIES
oroburos69: (Default)

[personal profile] oroburos69 2012-12-11 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good reason.
insanenoodlyguy: (Default)

[personal profile] insanenoodlyguy 2012-12-11 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
The best reason!

[personal profile] unicornherds 2012-12-11 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Unless zombies are very different in this show, "zombie" is enough reason to kill her. What was this Governor going to do, just keep his daughter in a straightjacket for the rest of her life and feed her brains or whatever? Or do zombies not starve to death?

I am completely unfamiliar with this show, so I guess there very well might be a reason to keep a zombie alive. Maybe there's a zombie cure or something.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
The Governor believed that there was a chance that the daughter could be helped. Keep in mind that in this show people know next to nothing about how zombies work or what caused it.

[personal profile] insanenoodlyguy 2012-12-11 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
They know by then how the infection works. You assume all zombies must die until the cure is produced. only way it works.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Not to mention the fact zombies in TWD are actually undead. Not living infected, dead people come back, still rotting. Once turned into a zombie, I'm pretty sure you can't be saved unless you are immediately cured.
nagaina: (Default)

[personal profile] nagaina 2012-12-11 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
The reasons were related to the Governor's fucked up psychology and there is no zombie cure in this world.

In fact, the zombie daughter was already dead and Michonne simply stopped her from moving.

According to one character on the show, zombies who can't feed *do* starve, but very, very slowly. So - horrifying.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
And you've gotta tear off their jaws/teeth and slash off their limbs for that. Ugh!
tabaqui: (Default)

[personal profile] tabaqui 2012-12-11 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Or cut their heads off. Then both parts starve but can't do anything about it. Yick.

More horrifying if he really thought his daughter was somehow still in there. Chaining her up in the dark was kind?
*shudders*

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
DA

They basically rot/mummify from what we've seen of them. There are zombies in varying level of decay and dessication, but no. This isn't Warm Bodies. No cure or coming out of it alive and well.

There's no cure, and the outbreak happened over a year ago. In fact, you don't become a zombie until after you DIE. "Curing" a zombie means destroying the brain.

The people in the community the Governor runs routinely destroy the brain of any of their number who die, so they won't rise as a zombie. They are not, as a whole, laboring under the misapprehension that zombies are people anymore.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
She could still bite though.
Was Michonne supposed to left her free (now that the chain wasn't holding her in a small area) and wait until someone got bitten before killing her?

Actually, letting Penny to bite the Governor doesn't sound like a bad plan... but zombies just attack the closest target, so it's not that simple...
