I don't know. I am seeing alot of love for Ori and Bofur floating around. (And for people who read the book, Bombur is topping the list.)

I do agree they get (a lot) more attention than the others (since, well, they're hot and that's the way fandom is), but to be fair they had more screentime than most the other dwarves as well, so it's not really surprising.

Personally I love Bofur, Ori, Dwalin and Balin, and Bombur is great too and Bilbo is one of the best things ever. Also Gandalf and Elrond and Galadriel...the characters were lovely. So yea, I think the other characters deserve more love, but it's not like everyone ignores them. There is some fanfic and art (not nearly enough, but) for the others if you know where to look.

I don't remember his name but the one who was always putting his foot in it, elaborating on things, and generally not doing anything to allay Bilbo's fears was my fave. I'm really upset I can't remember his name. He had the really strong accent and the hat with the floppy ears.

Other awesome people in this movie include: Balin, Gandalf, Galadriel, Action Armor Elrond, Radagast the 'Shroomed, Bilbo the Tiniest Boss, Bofur of the Fetching Hat, Lee Pace's Eyebrows, King Neckbeard the Goblin, Gollum, a SLEIGH OF WAR RABBITS, and more languid scenery porn than you can throw a Chinese historical epic at.

The Hot Dwarves are a good thing. But they are not the only good thing.

I love Bofur, Ori and Balin. And generally love fic of any dwarf that is written in an interesting way.

I like the three really popular ones as well, but I can see it becoming a bit tiring some time soon... :/

Yeah, they get a lot of love (and I love them too), but I'm not feeling a lack of love for most everyone else. Bofur's my favourite, and I'm definitely not a lonely fandom of one there, and it's not difficult to find love for all the dwarves. And the Thranduil fandom is ridiculous(ly amazing). Before the movie I was worried those three would be the only ones anyone cared about, but now that it's out it seems to not be the case at all. They might get more attention from some fans, but there's love for everyone.

Honestly, I read the book forever ago so I barely remembered anyone going into the movie, and couldn't keep track of most of the dwarves. But the reason Kili was my favourite in the film is because I thought it was really cool how he always shot arrows perfectly. I always love characters who are casually amazing at some skill, and Kili fits the bill. I do think he's attractive of course, I just want to say that maybe not everyone liked him/Fili just for looks.

I see a lot of love for Ori, Bombur, Bofur, and sometimes Balin (probably because the aforementioned dwarves get the most screentime aside from the 3 hot ones). And those are just the dwarves. Bilbo, Gandalf, and Thranduil get attention too.

Do any of them get as much focus from fandom as Thorin, Kili, and Fili? No, but fandoms have always loved the attractive characters. This isn't anything new, and certainly isn't exclusive to The Hobbit. Not to mention that Thorin, Fili, and Kili get the most lines and screentime out of most of the dwarves.

It honestly sounds to me like you're complaining just to complain.
