1. Ohhh those books. XD You know, you'd think those kids would figure out after a while that not every single person they meet is some sort of supernatural entity.

2. Seconded! She is made of awesome.

32. YES. John Travolta is a MILF. THERE I SAID IT.

Oh god, I just watched a bunch of stuff on SHV and now I too would rather have Eddie's Pizza Extravaganza or whatever. :(

TWO and TWENTY SEVEN

2) I love her stuff too, especially the fun random stuff she does for her own amusement. ^^ (That particular picture made me giggle with glee.)

27) See, I really don't understand how that's rude. For one thing - she says 'again' and 'please' which lead me to believe that she was SWAMPED for requests for those shoes despite already telling people that they were commissions for personal friends only.

Secondly, it's an EDIT which leads me also to think that she had a much quieter wording earlier and she had to change it because no one was paying attention. Artists like her might be popular, but that comes with the price of people wanting stuff from them. And some of those people, frankly, are entitlement bitches about getting what they want no matter what.

She has a right to restrict her commission work however she pleases and frankly, if you found that wording rude I honestly think you were just being oversensitive about it. She could have been much nastier and I've known artists who ARE nastier about that kind of thing.

I've watched that artist for a long time and she is clearly a very sweet person towards her group of fans. Asking them to 'please' not bombard her with commissions that she's not interested in doing is pretty reasonable imho.

27) Totally agree.

Hmmm. I just read it. I guess I am just really fucked up, because I found it kind of cool. Twisted, but still cool.

Read his other stuff then. Some of it's pretty stupid, but there's some stuff that's better than Enigma.

[identity profile] elendraug.livejournal.com 2007-09-08 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
8. I used to have an icon of them, when they hold hands in SP:BLU at the very end ("'cos Terrance and Phillip are sweet") but I deleted it to make space. :< OTP, MAN. OTP. I can't think of anything T&P-specific to recommend, but for general South Park BABYHiP's stuff (http://www.babyhip.org/) is awesome.
16. D: I want this Eddie-centric game way more. SHV is gonna take more talent that I have, I think, aheh. also WTF MONSTER WITH AN ARM ON ITS FACE, UH NO. knocking objects off a table accidentally sounds cool, though. also this is the first time a Silent Hill protagonist will have actual gun training 8D HOORAY
32. THAT WOULD BE GREAT, AHHAHA. DO IT

[identity profile] teostra.livejournal.com 2007-09-08 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
In Origins the guy is gun trained as well, I believe? I'm not sure, though, as I lack a PSP and thereby won't be playing it. XD

17. I think what you're talking about are just two different kinds of RP here, dear. Are prose RP fun? Sure. But frankly I never found one of those that lasted either. Attempting to get along with the plot bogged people down, they found it boring, they didn't have the time to arrange long comments, or they just couldn't fucking write prose.

I'm sorry you don't like 'comment war' RP, but it's not worse because it lacks length. People actually talk in short, clipped sentences, so if you take out all the naration, yah, you get lots of damn comments. Whether or not you have plot or developement depends on who you play with, not the method of the RP itself. And the only LJ RP I know of that is noticably hard to get into is CFUD, but that's due to the voting process. If you want a long application I think that RP, damned (?) had some pretty awesome requirements, it was also prose-style. I can't say for the quality of the writing tho, or for the developement, but considering the situation it throws the characters in, I expect there would be a lot of it, as it's a high stress type of thing. If the players are active and good you might enjoy it.

21. Whenever women bitch about the horrible portrayl of our gender in manga, I recommend Blade of the Immortal, which has some of the strongest, most realistic and well characterized female characters I've ever read. They still love men, in one of the cases you might even say need, but it's still a manga with love. So. Yeah. But they're realistic, intelligent and capable as well. The most kickass character in the manga is a woman and she rapes everyone naturally =\ but she's not really interested in killing =\

21. Blade of the Immortal? Thank you! :D

26. I'm watching her, and it doesn't really bother me... Besides, I'm sure she ended up phrasing it that way because so many people begged and whined for shoes. And I'm sure they take a shitload of time to do.

[identity profile] deepsense-remix.livejournal.com 2007-09-08 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
do you mean 27?

[identity profile] savioto.livejournal.com 2007-09-08 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
11. OH GOD THAT MANGA. I've never even read it, just read a brief description and seen a picture of one of the deformed people and it STILL freaked the shit out of me and gave me nightmares. D:

See I was totally like you. I even had it downloaded, on my hard drive, festering, daring me to freak myself the fuck out. Even the storyline to the stupid stupid thing it's a bonus story to freaked me out. And then I finally just sat down and read them, and... it was nowhere near as scary as I made it in my mind. And I'm the sort of person that gets so freaked out by the concept of whatsherface from Ringo that if I think about it too much I have to spend several days going around the house with all the lights on and going to bed before everyone else.

His other manga? Spiral? Now that's actually fucking scary.

5 I don't really understand how this can be considered a secret, but, yeah, I, absofuckinlutely love this series to death. Not many series can touch me as much as this anime did. I can't wait for Umino Chika's newest manga to get translated or licensed.

Oh! Honey and Clover is josei, not shoujo. XD

12 Mononoke!!!!1!! Yeah, baby. I worship him like whoa. Medicine SellerxKayo? Hohoho, do not tempt me pleazzzeee! *OTP overload*

17. word pie with word filling on top. I hate LJ RP. I remember when RP was done on aim and finished scenes were posted instead of the threaded shit that happens now. I really dislike it because there are days I can't sit and thread watch for hours at a time just to keep up and so end up not getting to play much at all.

I'm glad you made the secret because there have been several recommendations made that I'm going to check into now that look like they may be more my style.

30. 0__________________________________________0

You just took my favorite novel of all time which I spent a good two years analyzing and essaying FOR MY OWN AMUSEMENT and made me realize that I read it and did all of that before slash had even occurred to me.

I will read this book again, and with so much more relish.

THANK YOU FOR THIS SECRET. I was always hardcore Mitya/Grushenka, but OH MY GOD. The thought alone. It's such a guilty pleasure, even thinking of it now.

This secret made my night.

also: a lot of tl;dr secrets this week.

17. Cause making long, elaborated logs isn't a waste of time?

I love commentwar RP. They're fun, and I can actually play without getting stuck because I don't know how to explain an emotion or some shit. Because I'm not a writer, and I don't want to be, not even in my own language. My third-person logs are always really basic, and I've started to hate logging like that, cause if I compare my posts to the ones of those who're actually decent writers, they seem so lame. But my one-liners? Are just the same as everyone else's. So I have a hell of a lot more fun with those.

It's not like if you suddenly start writing in third-person you're automatically good and interested in plot and development, anyway.

oh my god. Are you... my twin or something?
Or do we share minds?!

I started catching re-runs of Crossing Jordan on A&E this summer and fell in LOVE with it. I wish I had never looked it up on Wikipedia because I was heartbroken for days.
