I too hate it when people get the characterizations of anthropomorphized yaoi characters based on actual nations involved in a horrific world war incorrect. You have to do justice to your material, dammit.

My current understanding is that the SHIELD TV show is set pre-Avengers, and therefore Coulson isn't actually being resurrected, just showing up in a prequel. I don't think that would weaken the impact of his death at all.

If you find a character annoying, anything that gives them more exposure will usually make them more annoying.

...If you watch it ever, you should make your first episode the Hallowe'en special with the short 'Night of the Living Finsters' in it. Because you only get one first episode and really, that would be perfect.

He didn't. But I never actually believed he was dead, to be fair, and I kept expecting him to come back at the end of the film.
