So my friend has finally seen Jurassic Park. It only took 20 years! And I finally saw 300 (I was not impressed). There are still a lot of movies I need to watch (Disney's cartoon version of Alice in Wonderland).

What are some Movies/TV Shows/Games/Books that you have totally been meaning to watch/read/play but never seem to get around to (even though it seems everyone else in the world has).

The Avengers. I had been waiting years to see it before it came out and for some reason I just can't be bothered to watch it even though I've heard it's good

You know those 90s-kids posts on Tumblr reminiscing over old movies and things? I guarantee you I have not seen any of those movies despite the fact that that was my generation. My parents never brought us to the cinema so to this day, reference to any popular movie before 2010 flies over my head.

The Great Gatsby (film), Titanic, Avatar, Silver Linings Playbook (film), Bates Motel, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and a lot of teen movies. no one ever wants to go to the movies with me so I miss out on a lot.

Most of 'Game of Thrones' tv series.

The second half of the latest season of 'The Walking Dead.' Same for the U.S. version of 'Being Human'. Exams got in the way of both. :(

I need to read the original Sherlock Holmes stories.

Fifteen years of watching anime and I've still never seen a single episode of Evangelion. I'm not sure watching it would really add anything to what I've learned through secondhand fandom at this point, but I have a feeling that someday I'll get the whim to see for myself.

Fight Club. I keep getting spoiled, though, and honestly at this point I kind of just want to read a plot synopsis so I can know what it's about without having to watch it.

Anything with Star in it really (Star Wars, Start Trek, Stargate and so on), most classics (Casablanca, Hitchcock and so on), The Godfather, a lot of new animated films, everything after The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift, the newest Hulk film, Captain America, Fight Club and since you mentioned it 300...

I will just stop there, you get the point? I will not even start on television shows where my true love is, because we will be here all night!

I've been meaning to read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass novels for forever now

the funny thing is i've watched the television and movie adaptations of Hitchhiker's Guide, and I've owned the book for a long time, but it just always kind of eludes my interest

also, ASoIaF's fifth book has been on my shelf for a long time now too sigh

Games: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire.... hell, even Dragon Age for that matter.

I've also never played a Tales game. They seem fun in terms of gameplay, but the stories and characters seem full of anime tropes which I am very not a fan of. Xillia looks decent though, and I'm thinking of picking it up this summer when it's out.

My motivation got a jumpstart recently when my friend told me she wouldn't hang out with me if I didn't like it. She was 100% joking, but I felt so embarrassed having to admit to her I hadn't even seen it...so I just need to work up the spare time.

My boyfriend keeps talking about needing to expose me to Pulp Fiction and Silence of the Lambs. I'll give in to the former eventually, but I hope to evade the latter indefinitely. He's also been making noises about showing me several of the Miyazaki movies I haven't seen, like Spirited Away and a couple of others. I saw Totoro for the first time a couple of months ago, and we did Princess Mononoke a few weeks ago.

I also need to see Clerks 2.

I need to go back and watch some Classic Who.

I should probably read Animal Farm. I liked 1984 well enough.

I need to finish Ocarina of Time and let my boyfriend expose me to the other Legend of Zelda games that he has. I also need to get hold of a PS3 so I can finish playing FF13.

Wuthering Heights has been sitting on my bookshelf for as long as I can remember, but I've never read it.

I also want to eventually read all the Discworld books.
