7. You know, it's possible to enjoy more then just one book series. Even if you love Harry Potter, it's kind of silly to shun everything else.

This is mostly directed to your inclusion of His Dark Materials in your rant, and your mention that it "wrought with cliches". You are a fool. Okay, you love Harry Potter, and nothing will ever take its place in your life. Whatever, that I can deal with. But do not dismiss this series simply based on what you saw in the trailers. The series is filled with more depth, philosophy, intelligence, and character growth than your poor litle Potter-filled mind could probably handle. This isn't just some fantasy book like your darling Potter series. This is a novel whose research continues to shock me the more educated I become. I read it for the first time when I was a child in elementary school. I reread it this past year as a Junior in college and was amazed to discover how much there was that I missed as a child. I don't care how much you love Harry Potter. I can deal with that. But don't you dare pass off that series as just another fantasy book. I highly recomend that you read it, but not as a Potter replacement. It's in a completely different league from Potter, one that J.K. Rowling's unfortunate little mind can never come close to.

And just so you know, I've read all the Potter books. They're cute, but entirely forgettable. I've been reading fantasty since I was a child. I really don't understand the fascination with the series. Rowling gets credit for making the world think pyrite is gold, but that's about it.

10. I watched Digimon 01 a while ago, and I thought it'd just be a quick trip back down memory lane.

Or, well, more accurately, damn the new management at Cartoon Network making all the shows re-pitch themselves and determining TT wasn't good enough while greenlighting shit like Camp Lazlo and My Gym Partner's A Monkey.
