Rofl yeah...me too. Some bits in it I found far too sad and touching for me to be at all sane ^^; It absolutely devastated me that after all that you don't get to hear any more of that cute dialogue between the main and your partner. The partner doesn't even have a special phrase when you talk to them anymore. It's kinda depressing xD

1 - ...so I don't see where the hate part comes in if you enjoy it, but I do get your point. Good genfic is just so hard to find...

7 - It's not cheesy at all. It's just... well, some of the old fans are elitist asshats who wouldn't be happy unless they erased all traces of the Compilation from the earth, and they're not willing to give n00bs the chance to prove they're legitimately interested in the fandom and aren't just in it for the hotties (even if some of them ARE), so they scare them off. There's people who suck on both sides, but really, can't the rest of us just ignore the lot of them and get along? Please?

...Compilation n00bs vs. original-game oldtimers is like the new Cloud/Tifa vs. Cloud/Aeris. Except apparently it's not as easy to solve (Cloud/Tifa/Aeris FTW).

8 I typically dislike the subject(s) of the 'Eroge Art Style'. I dislike the actual drawing but I've always liked how they colored in promotional pictures. And I like it because more than two or three colors are used for the hair, the focus isn't the eyes, and most all of it doesn't look like someone just did the cell shading and left it at that... And you should be honest with your friends. If you think they suck. Well then, don't say they're wonderful...
15 I'd be sad too.
23 I dislike the series too. I suffered through episode after episode hoping I'd like it but. No. Just too boring for me... It does have it's moments though, but not enough to keep me watching. And that really does suck that most of your flist would abandon you over that.

23. haha yeah, I remember a couple of my friends being half-interested, but wary about the mechas. I had to explain to them the mechas are downplayed since it's more about the characters. I don't blame you, honestly.

I think you actually missed the point of the chapter which contains the memories Snape gave to Harry. Which is a real shame because it adds so much dimension to his character and very nicely explains his actions and personality to a point where I think most (if not everyone) would be hard-pressed to *not* feel sympathy or sorrow for his life and situation, despite his poor decisions.

I disagree. I think it's the Snape fen that missed the point of the chapter. I can't see anything in the secret that is at all untrue. He really is like that. *shrug* It's not a matter of whether he's sympathetic or not. I'm not saying he isn't. He's not. He's not a hero. Brave\=\Hero.

22. Oh God, I so agree with this comment!!!! Okay he loved someone but that doesn't make him a good or nice person!! He may have loved Lily and chose to defect because of her, but he still treated her son terribly, not only because he reminded him of James, his father, but also because he reminded him of Lily!! He only occassionally did nice things for Harry, but only so Harry could eventually kill the man who murdered his love!

30. Was I the only person who didn't?!?!?! Whenever people mention what they cried over in book 7, Dobby's death is virtually always mentioned!!!

#7 - IAWTC. I know -- mostly from reading comments here in response to other secrets -- that people are upset because there's a whole wave of new people writing fic based on their knowledge from only the movie and not the game, or just from internet research. I get that, I do. What I don't get is -- if that's the problem, if that's what's bothering people so bad, why can't people just avoid the fic by authors that they know haven't played the game? Stick to the authors you know are good and all that. Heck, that's what I do in any fandom, really.

That's just my two cents though... I'm a big believer in that if you avoid what you know bothers you, you'll be a lot happier and so will everyone else. I learned that when I first got onto the internet when I was 13. :/

SO. MUCH. LOVE.
Holy crap, it has been forever since I saw it but I loved that movie so much! I saw it on the Sci-Fi Channel too, and then I rented it from the video store (on VHS back in the day) and make my own copy. I should find it and watch it again, except I'm sure it got taped over by something else :(
Hahaha I even found the live-action Japanese movie and watched that, even though it was dubbed and cheesy.

OMG SO MUCH WORD.

I like Snape well enough for being an interesting character (plus great sarcastic humor), but as far as being a "good person," everything you said is true.

And as far as James and Snape during their school years. I don't at all understand how being a prankster makes someone worse than being a proto-death eater. Earth logic would dictate it being the other way around.

Snape might be a more complex character (he's in it more), but James Potter is definitely the better man.

If Snape had acted differently during Harry's years at school, the argument for him would be stronger. However, he treated Harry AND his friends (especially poor Neville!) dreadfully. That's not really honoring Lily's memory very well.

7. THE MOVIE WAS FANTASTIC /o/ It was a perfect balance of 'for the fans' and 'for new people'. I loved it a million times MORE after replaying the game again, because I was never 'into' FFVII so I missed a lot of the little things =\ And people hate on newcomers for the sake of BEING newcomers cuz their stuckup, and people want to convince themselves they're better than someone else. Nothin' new.

10. I am currently NOT ENTIRELY THRILLED with the new seaon but I will endure. Nathan is awesome too D= ...and Matt and Mohinder make a surprisingly cute gay couple.

And it's so sad, because I love Disney so very much.

I was very disappointed when game 2's idea of 'Disney' was 'rewrite the movies and no one will notice, LOL!'

...it essentially made Sora a Marty Stu. Simba couldn't rule without Sora's help? China was doomed unless Sora saved it? etc etc etc. My favourite world was the least appealing graphically - the black and white one - because they weren't trying to re-write a Disney movie.

Mai has the worst personality of any animated character I've ever seen. She's about as interesting as a doorknob. She has all the passion of a wet mop. She's Azula's handmaiden, for god's sake. She and the brainless Ty Lee are nothing more than "filler" characters.

I would've felt better if you'd said you disapproved of Zutara because you hated Zuko and liked Katara.
